Madison was somehow trying to move on past what had happened with Cal. But she knew it was hard. She still loved him and she was still having his baby.

She woke that morning and saw Esmè walking into her room. "Have you thought about what you're going to do? About the baby. If you and Cal don't get back together?" She asked.

Madison shrugged and sighed. She looked to her. "I honestly don't know. I just feel like he doesn't even care about me. He was flirting with Alicia in front of me."

"But you're having his baby."

"Yeah. I know. And since we broke up, he hasn't once asked about the baby. You're lucky you've got Iain."

Esmè nodded. "Yeah. We have a name picked for her. Isabelle-Esmè. Named after her auntie and my best friend."

"Babes. That's so sweet. I wanted to discuss a name with Cal. But obviously that's not going to happen now is it?"

"You still have to talk to him. As much as you don't like him," Esmè said.

Madison groaned but nodded. She sighed. "I just don't want to."

Madison went into work. She saw Cal and sighed. He was standing with Alicia and Ethan.

Madison ignored him and walked inside. She heard footsteps behind her. "Madison."

She turned to see Cal and sighed. "What?"

"I want to talk about the baby. You know, it is mine too," Cal told her as he looked to her.

Madison nodded. "I know. This isn't the time or the place. So I'll meet you somewhere after work. We can sort a schedule for her or something," she said.

Cal sighed. "I didn't want it to come to this. I didn't want us to break up. But you pushed me to it."

Madison frowned. "I didn't either. You broke up with me. I'm sorry I got something wrong. But you didn't need to break up with me did you?" She asked.

"I'm sorry. Okay? I really am. You thought I was sleeping with Alicia and I wasn't. You basically ruined us."

"I'm not doing this Cal. I'm not arguing with you about this here. Leave me alone. I'll meet you tonight to talk about the baby and that's it."

Madison was getting annoyed. She felt like Cal was punishing her. He wasn't really talking to her which annoyed her more than anything.

Esmè walked towards her and sighed. "What's going on? Both you and Cal are in rotten moods. And the patients are mentioning it. So what?"

"He's being a jerk."

Esmè rolled her eyes. She looked at her. "You're pregnant. So your hormones are out of whack. But you need to reel it in."

"I can't. He's driving me insane. Like so much and I can't handle it."

"I know. You're literally don't deserve it. But you'll be okay. I know you will," Esmè told
Her. She smiled. "Iain says he'll buy you a burger. If you stop moping."

Madison rolled her eyes but smiled. She knew Esmè was trying to make her smiled. But she just wanted her and Cal to be how they used to be. She didn't think it was going to happen.

All she knew was that she wanted to give her baby the family that they deserved. But at what cost would it come?
