*** The six students were now all in the halls heading to John's locker and trying not to get caught by Vernon. John had his arm around Mia's waist which Claire glanced at following behind them both with Andrew, Brian, and Allison.
"How do you know where Vernon went?" Claire asked finally. Bender didn't look at her, "I don't." "Well, then, how do you know when he'll be back?" Claire asked again "I don't," John said again. Then he turned his head to look at her over Mia's head, "Being bad feels pretty good, huh?" Behind them, Mia heard Brian ask, "What's the point in going to Bender's locker?" "Beats me," Andrew answered nonchalantly. "This is so stupid," Brian continued anxiously, "Why are we risking getting caught?". "I don't know" andrew answered again
"Then what are we doing?" Brian babbled "you ask me one more question and I'm beating the shit outta you" andrew warned. The group reached John's locker they all noticed the foul word written in big black ink was on display. John then opened his locker. "Slob" andrew says "my maid's on vacation" John replied then grabbed a brown paper bag inside of another bag to a show a baggy of marihuana. Mia rolled her eyes with a grin tugging the corner of her lips
"drugs" Brian gasped "screw that bender put it back!" Andrew scolded as John ignored him and stuffed it in his pocket then wrapping his hand in Mia's
"We'll cross through the lab, and then we'll double back,' " Bender told them. "You better be right," Andrew said, "If Vernon cuts us off it's your fault, asshole!" andrew says as Mia slapped him on the arm
"damn it" Mia says pointing to the end of the hall causing everyone to look where see was pointing to see Vernon drinking from the water fountain which made everyone run the other way.
*** Everyone has been running for a while now trying to avoid Vernon's presence. "The activity hall!" Andrew says "you don't know what your talking about man!" John says "No, you don't know what you're talking about!" Andrew countered. "Now we're through listening to you, we're going this way!" He took off in the opposite direction and the others followed after him. Giving John's hand a squeeze,
They all ran, only to be stopped shortly by a closed iron gate covering another corridor. John let go of Mia's hand and shook the gate in frustration. "Great idea, Jagoff!" Bender snapped. "Fuck you!" Andrew retaliated. "Fuck you!" Claire told him, "Why didn't you listen to John?" Mia yelled Brian threw his hands up in the air, "We're dead!"
"No," John said, backing up, "Just me." "okay what do you mean?" Mia says as John ignored her "just get back to the library" John says as he pull out the marijuana from his pocket "keep your unit on this" John says as he stuffed it in Brian's pants then grabbed Mia's neck and pulled her into a sloppy kiss for a second then started running through the halls yelling
"Come on!" Claire says pulling Mia out of her dreamy state.

Now everyone was in there seat thinking about what's happening to John. As they were daydreaming a bang from the door erupted.
"Get your stuff," Vernon demanded angrily, "Let's go!" Turning the the rest of the students in the library as John simply took a seat at his table, Vernon said "Mister Wiseguy here has taken it upon himself to go to the gymnasium. I'm sorry to inform you, you're going to be without his services for the rest of the day."
John, who had seated himself back in his regular seat, said, "B-O-O-H-O-O" John spelled "Everything's a big joke, huh Bender?" Vernon seethed. "The false alarm you pulled Friday, false alarms are really funny aren't they? What if your home. what if your family," Vernon paused, trying to find the right words. "What if your dope was on fire?"
John's face didn't give away any of his emotions as he said, "Impossible, sir. It's in Johnson's underwear." Brian's eyes widened. Andrew laughed quietly. "You think he's funny?" Vernon asked, looking heatedly at the jock. "You think this is cute? You think he's bitchin'. is that it? Let me tell you something. Look at him, " he turned back to Bender, "he's a bum. You want to see something funny? You go visit John Bender in five years! You'll see how god damn funny he is".
He was suddenly right next to John, "What's the matter, John? You going to cry? Let's go." Vernon grabbed John's arm, but the boy threw his hand off of him, standing quickly, "Hey, keep your fucking hands off me! I expect better manners from you, Dick!" While he was walking, and he stopped by Andrew to place his sunglasses on his desk, explaining, "For better hallway vision." On the way out, John shoved over a couple of things on a desk.
