Chapter 13: Here we go again

I had just finished my dinner with Cameron and was making my way back to my dorms.
The sun was setting over the mountains and cast a pink and orange color across the sky and trees. People were walking around, sitting on benches and talking about school and tryouts. I needed to call Logan and talk about tryouts with Magic.
I made my way to the stairs of my dorm building, and opened the heavy door. The common room had a few girls studying and had the radio on softly.
I quickly waved and ran up to my dorm. Opening the door, I saw a studying Scarlet seated at her desk.

"Hey, I'm sorry. I was dumb. I shouldn't have gotten mad at you and it was stupid of me. It's not your fault he's hurt, and I should have been glad you were there for me" I apologized.

She turned towards me and accepted it "Its ok, I should have understood, I had a horse before Royal. He died from a heart attack, so it was really hard for me to love him. But one day at a show we just clicked, ever since we have been unstoppable."

I thought about that and replied while I sat down and got my homework out "I'm sorry, well I wonder how fast I can get a horse. I'm going to miss Keller. I'm going to visit him tomorrow and then do tryouts."

We talked back and forth for a little and then started on the long tortuous hour of homework.

After we finished one hour worth of homework, I texted Logan.

Me: Hey, I'm really sorry. I was really dumb in not trusting you. Can I still use Magic tomorrow?

Seconds later he responded.

Logan: Of course, but only if trust her. Don't want to make her think other wise.

Ok so he was mad.

Me: il take that as a yes..?

Logan: yes, but don't expect me to help you any. Once you get a horse im done with you.

Me: ok I get it, thanks and bye

He never responded.

I went to the bathroom, hopped in the shower, and after changed into pajamas and settled into bed.

"Night El." Scarlet called.

"Night" and with that I settled into a deep sleep dreaming of jumping over huge oxers.

"BEEEEEP BEEEP BEEPITY BEEP BEEP!" My alarm pounded into the morning. I quickly shut it off and opened my eyes to sunlight pouring into the room. I jumped out out bed and made my way to my closet, to see Scarlet just getting up.

"Morning! Let's hurry up and get to breakfast early!" She said while checking her phone.

"Sounds like a plan!" I winked

I quickly picked out a light blue tank top with a bow on it with stark white jeans rolled up and a white undershirt. I slipped them on and went to the bathroom to get ready. Brushing my teeth and hair, I was already halfway through my morning process. I applied some eyeliner, powder, and mascara and slipped on my rainbows before getting my black and blue book bag and white faux leather purse. Scarlet picked up our phones and handed me mine before we left without a word.
She had on a grey tank top with a lace back and some light wash jeans along with her grey toms.
We both looked great, and I couldn't wait to get back home and change into my new and never used blinding white polo and my newly washed show breeches.

"You look cute today!" I complimented, eyeing her curly black hair and light make up. She had on black mascara and eyeliner with a soft shade of shimmery amber, making her blue eyes stand out like Logan's.

Logan...

Tryouts!

"So do you!" She grinned. "Tryouts are today! You ready?"

"Maybe." I said, nervous.

The rest of the walk to the cafeteria was silent, and we enjoyed our surroundings. I got the door for Scarlet, and the day awaited us.
The sun was rising and people were walking around talking. Today was going to be extremely important to the rest of the year. The cafeteria had a small number of students eating at tables with their friends. I quickly spotted Jax and Abigail scanning over the crowd. Jax met my eyes with her striking lime eyes. Her platinum blond hair was straighten to perfection. I pulled my eyes away from her, and saw Abigail across from her. She has her red brown hair pulled up in a perfect curly pony tail.
They both were dressed to perfection. Jax was wearing dark wash skinny jeans with wedges, matching her v neck black shirt. Her gold jewelry glinted in the light.
Abigail had a cute black dress on along with silver flats and jewelry.

We got in line, and the food invited us over.

"Ok, we will see you later!" Scarlet called over her shoulder as we walked out of the cafeteria.

"We're early.." I stated as I opened the wooden door.

"Yea, what do you want to do, we have like twenty minutes before class starts." She stated looking down at her phone.

"Want to come with me to talk to Logan? Or Cameron?" I asked looking at her.

I had told her all the news at breakfast today, and she was astonished at the way he acted about the whole thing.

"Let's try" she sighed, and we were off to talk to Mr. Hard To Get Along With.

I walked along side Scarlet, and we reached the courtyard as she called him to meet us here. She talked with him for not long, and as she hung up said "He's on his way"
With a nod of my head, I sat down on the bench and texted my mom telling her that life so far was great. If she only knew. Foot steps approached us, and I looked up to see Logan's breathtaking eyes.

I stood up and walked towards him, and away from Scarlet.

"Hey, I know we have the study hall off, and was wondering if we could get Magic ready together and talk about uh" I gulped "me being stupid"

I looked down and fiddled with my fingers as he thought about what I said.

"That sounds, fine. Yea, we can talk" he spat out. His jaw was rigid and he showed his anger well.

I was already regretting this. With a nod of my head, I dashed to my first block.

"Hey El!" My group called me over. I sat with Katherine, Anna, Scarlet, and the twins for lunch.
I noticed a few guys sitting with us, but went to the lunch line to get a PB&J sandwich, chips, sweet tea, and a cupcake. As I walked back to my seat, I saw that one of the boys were Cameron, and the other a new boy.

"Oh this is Chase Rivers." Introduced Cam.

A tan boy sat beside Scarlet. He had bark brown hair with grey eyes. He was cute, but not my style. He and Scarlet seemed to be in a deep conversation as I sat down.

"You get things sorted with Logan?"'asked Anna.

"Kinda, but it's just difficult." I responded, and bit into my sandwich.

We talked for a while, and I could see that Scar and Chase were quite close. She would flash him a smile every now and then, and he would respond with a wink.
Everyone was happily discussing about whether ponies or horses were sassier, when Cameron looked up and so did everyone else.

I looked up to see a stern looking Mr. Odell.
