Jax stood in front of me, with her eyes narrowed at what was now my new horse. He bumped my shoulder, oblivious to the snake like creature burning holes in my head with her eyes. Her bright green eyes were rimmed with dark brown eye liner and black mascara on her long eye lashes. Her plump lips had glittery pink on them.
"How do you know Sterling?" I asked while feeding him a few Apple treats. He licked his lips, asking for more.
"I used to ride him! I'm the one who jumped him first. He was mine!" She bit into me.
At the sound of her venomous voice, he backed up. The white of his eyes were showing, and he snorted.
"Would you chill? He's getting freaked out now." I said, seeing his reaction to the mad girl.
She looked us over again and whispered deadly "You are going down. You will be lucky to get into a team"
She turned on her heel and stomped off to go and get her perfect horse. Her blond hair swung about her black polo and she stepped high in her black tall boots and tan breeches.
I looked at the beautiful head above me. He slowly let his head down by my shoulder, and closed his eyes.
"You're just a big baby aren't you?" I asked rubbing his forehead.
I put him in the spare stall, and went to see Keller. He limped to me, and nudged my shoulder.
"Your leaving tomorrow, it sure is going to be sad. At least you will be back home. I love you." I said as I leaned into neck. He snorted and sat there. I couldn't believe that he was leaving. He had been my rock, and everything I ever had. He saved my butt so many times, and taught me so much. He had become my constant. When things weren't right I would go to him. I loved him with all my heart, and now he was leaving.
I backed up and went out of his stall and closed the wooden door behind me.
People were just coming in, all in perfect breeches and tall boots.
I saw a nervous Logan approach me. He's eyes showed worry, and his hair was swept to the side.
"Found a new horse?" He asked a little rudely.
"Yes, his names Sterling. Or Steer Clear." I replied with a smile.
"After all I did to help, you decide to ditch my horse and flaunt over to your new one and try out? Well I'v got news for you, I'm going to beat you! I'm going to get into a higher team because I have actually practiced on my horse. I did what I could to help-" he started.
What he said got all over me and I cut in yelling.
"No! I'v got news for you! I have already apologized and I'm soooo sorry that I found a horse. It wasn't my plan! You need to shut up and think about what your saying. Get your facts straight before you go and try to blame me!"
I pushed past him hard and went to find Scarlet. Making my way to Royals stall, I heard her tacking him up. The stables were hectic while at least 90 people were running around.
Their boots clipped and clopped as they lead their horses and ponies to get tacked up or try out. I had about an hour before I would try out, and my stomach was turning in knots. I rubbed my arm nervously, and side stepped people. I ran into Anna, and she turned around for me to see a bright smile.
"Hey! I'v got to hurry up, bye!" She said quickly and ran off.
I walked up to Scars stall to see her locking lips with Chase.
