'Woosh'

Sterling and I had just finished the last jump of the course on Tuesday, two weeks after my date with Luke.

"Good good boy!" I said patting my blood red horse under me. His sweat rimmed my hand as I got back to the line of students waiting to jump the six jump course.

"You stayed strong throughout to course, but didn't let him take over you. You are dismissed." Mr. Odell said with a nod of his head. Just as I was walking out, Scarlett started her course.

I jumped off my horse, and loosened his girth before leading him into the wash rack to rinse off his hot body after our workout. My legs struggled to hold me up, because of the vigorous lessons. Sterling and I had become closer than ever before, and I was blossoming in dressage. He took care of me on the flat, and I corrected him over the jumps. We fit perfectly, and we had grown a lot. He was taking four foot jumps in stride now, and Mr. Odell was pleased. The lessons were terribly hard, but were paying off.

I felt a push on my back as I put Sterly in his stall.

"Here you go." I said while giving him his well earned carrots. After putting my saddle and tack away, I made my way to the lounge to hang out.

"Hey!" I heard Annie say as I walked down the isle.

"Hey! How you doing?" I asked while patting her pony.

"Good, tired from the lesson but good." After talking about how to properly ask for a side pass, we departed and I made my way down to the lounge. The lounge was as big as a large living room, and had a kitchen, TV, couches, and a snack and drink machine in it. I inserted a dollar bill and in return got a cold bottle of water.

I sat down on the plushy dark brown couches and turned on CSI. After watching for a while, I heard foot steps come in. Some one put there hands over my eyes and asked "Guess who?"

"Let me guess. Luke?" I asked playfully.

He let me go and walked around the couch and plopped him self next to me.

"Have a good lesson?" He asked.

"Hard, but yes."

"Oh you won't guess what!" He said while a smile jumped to his face. Before I could answer he said "I'm moving to the advanced team!"

"That's awesome." I said gently.

"You know I've never met your horse?" I asked while looking at his amazing grey pools. Grey eyes had always amazed me.

"Oh, Zeus? He's a good guy. Want to go visit him?" He asked.

Turns out he was three stalls down from mine.

When I peered inside, my breath hitched. Inside was at least a 17hh dappled buckskin horse staring at me. His mane and tail were inky black, and so were his knees down. On all fours were stark white socks to match his blaze coming down his noble face. He wasn't built delicately, yet not sturdy. He was the perfect balance. He took one long step to reach me, and closed his eyes once I reached out to pet his head.

"Wow." Was all I could whisper.

"This is Zeus, also known as Endless Possibilities. He's a Swiss Warmblood, and well, worth what we spent." He said. I figured he was well off when it came to money.

"He's amazing. Just curious, why don't you have a mare? Most guys that ride have mares."

He just shrugged his shoulders and replied "Never really liked mares."

"Something we have in common." I laughed gently.

"That's funny, suggesting you were all over riding a mare when you broke Keller down at tryouts."
