" I.. I found the car that hit the girls." Calum managed to speak out. His voice low and shaky. " how in the hell did you do that?" Ashton yelled from the driver seat, now furious that calum hadn't said something before. " I called the police station and asked for the accident information and it led me to the car which was parked over by the water" Calum was now beginning to fade in and out of consciousness. " come on buddy stay with us" Luke wiped the blood from the side of calums head. " you're such a jack ass calum" Michael laughed out unaware of the state calum was fading into. Ashton was getting pretty good at driving like a mad man, his turns causing the car to drift, his quick stops causing the breaks to squeal. " can you not do that?" Luke yelled out from the back seat. " I'm getting us there the fastest way I know how, now stop being a backseat driver Luke" Ashton's hands gripped the wheel, turning the car into the hospital parking lot and pulling up to the emergency room doors. " take him in there. I'll be in. Give me a second" Ashton unlocked all the car doors and waited for the boys to get calum from the back.
They hobbled calum inside, shouting as soon as they got in the door for a doctor. They were quickly assisted by the same doctor who had been with them the past couple of days, and he brought calum into an examination room, letting the two boys sit in. Ashton had different intentions, checking on Mady and Stephanie once more before he sped back towards the port, his knuckles gripping white on the steering wheel in anger.
His adrenaline was racing. You hurt my girls, and now my best friend? He thought, letting the thoughts fuel him as he raced towards the spot. He screeched into the port, nearly driving off of it, as he fishtailed around and stopped the vehicle. He didn't wait a second before they emerged from the dark. He knew they were there, Calums car was still parked, and the front window had been broken in. He took his gaze off of it to face the two growling men approaching him. He cracked his knuckles, and swung, the blood curdling crack echoing through his bones.
One swing, two swing, three. His anger was now boiling through his veins. " what the fuck is wrong with you" Ashton called out, knocking the grown men to their feet. " you are some sick sick people" he brought his foot to the drivers face, making sure to give it a nice kick. " should I keep going? Or have you two had enough?" Ashton laughed, cracking his neck. The fire still lit deep inside of him. These girls were his life and he was willing to die for them, a few punches didn't do it any justice. " no no no we're done" the grown men crawled back to their car, but just as they did. Ashton met them there, with a baseball bat, sending swings in all different directions, the windshield, the mirrors, the head lights. The blows just kept coming. "Stop it Ashton. STOP" Luke ran up behind him, grabbing his arms. " Luke let go. These guys are going to get what they deserve" Ashton spit words like venom. " if you don’t stop now you're going to find yourself in a cell. Come on. We'll let karma get these two. After all, it'll be worse than anything we can do" Luke began to drag Ashton away from the smashed car but never once did Ashton's eyes leave the drivers. Not even for a second.
Luke pushed ashton into the passenger seat, making sure he was buckled in before rushing to the drivers seat. "how did you even-" Ashton asked, his head running through his hair, blood stained knuckles now staining his hair. "i followed you, i knew you’d do this" he sighed, putting the car in drive and pulling out of the lot "and now we've got two cars to pick up tomorrow so theres that" Luke chuckled, attempting to lighten the mood. Ashton smirked, but his smile was gone before it had even arrived. He lay his head in his hands as they drove back to their most constant stop, Luke much more fragile on the road then Ashton was. For once, they got out of the car slowly, taking time to lock the doors before walking inside. Ashton immediately retreated to Mady's room, laying down next to her and wrapping his arms around her before dozing off. Luke found calums room, across the hall from the girls, and sat in the chair next to Calums bed, never taking his hand away from calums as he dozed off to sleep.
