"LUUUUKKKEEEEY" Michael called across the house from his bedroom, engulfed in the comforter. Luke groaned from the kitchen, standing in only his sweats and his hat, as he spread Vegemite over his toast. "Whaaat" Luke groaned again, impatient. Michael shuffled down the hallway, the comforter still hiding him as he emerged into the kitchen. His sleep eyes and messy hair were apparent, but they didn't fit in with the time of day, as it was 8:00 at night. Only his face peeked out of the white fluff blanket, as he held it around him, rubbing his eyes with the soft fabric as he stood in front of Luke. Luke glanced up from his toast, and let out a sigh, as he knew what was to come. Michael shuffled around the counter and stood next to Luke, leaning on him as he did so. "Cuddle?" Michaels words were muffled under the blanket, only his eyes visible now. Luke groaned, but eventually gave in, and followed Michael back to his room. He sat against the headboard eating his toast, Michael curled into his side, Luke's hand stroking through Michael's bright blue hair. The mumble of the TV occupied them until they fell asleep, Luke now underneath Michael as he rest his head on his chest. The two best friends slept soundly, spending most of their off days like this. The clock ticked 2:00am, and the door clicked open to Michael's room, harsh eyes drawn directly to Luke as soon as he was in sight. Jealousy burst inside of the beholder, his breath hooking at the sight, quickening with his heart as it sunk in his chest. Calum stood in the doorway, frozen in place. He would never be use to this, and he didn't want to be, he thought. Envy budded inside him as he clicked the door shut, retreating back to his own room as flashes of Luke and Michael flew through his mind. He opened his door and closed it softly behind him, making sure not to wake up the others. He flopped down on his bed, hands clutching his hair of the thoughts of them poisoned his brain. They had dated before, but that was over. It was Calum and Luke now and forever, wasn't it? He doubted himself. Was there still something going on? Did Luke still love Michael? Questions paraded Calum's mind as the night grew on, the empty space next to him clawing at his seams, ripping them apart as they devoured his mind.

"What was going to become of this? Was there a spark between them?" The questions raced through Calums mind as the dark night hours brought the dawn. " Can I come in?" Luke whispered from the other side of the door. " Please Luke don't I really just want to be alone, go be with Michael" Calum groaned back, his eyes never leaving the ceiling. " No please I want to come in" Luke begged from the outside of the door, twisting the knob. "I said go away didn't I" Calums voice now louder and more serious. They never fought, neither of them sure of how to handle this situation. Luke quietly walked away from the door and into his own bedroom. " How could I have been so stupid? I always manage to ruin everything. God Luke you're so stupid" he gripped his blonde hair in his palm, tugging it from his head. Letting out a sigh he sat down on the floor, his back to his bed frame. " Calum hates you now" " He's never going to trust you again" " Why did I feel so comfortable with Michael?" " How could you be so stupid?" " you love calum, don't you?" The thoughts raced through his mind faster than he could find an answer to all the questions. " Luke are you alright? Why didn't you come back?" Michael was on the other side of the door, speaking in a low raspy voice. " I think I'm just going to lay in here. I'm tired" Luke replied, knowing he was lying straight through his teeth. He wasn't tired at all,in fact he was wide awake. His hands shaking, his mind racing. He had never cared about anyone the way he cared for calum. Why did he go and mess this up?
