Shoto watched as the burnt man lowered his hand from the wall of flames.

The inferno he created... it was taller than any of the trees in the forest. It seemed to stretch out for miles.

Millions of things rushed through his mind all at once, overwhelming him.

How the hell did he know his family's secret? Was he going to tell anyone? Who would he tell- no, how would they believe him? This had to be a bluff...

right?

-

Shoto stepped away from Dabi, "You know, Bakugou will probably get through the wall."

"Zero will distract him," He replied simply.

"You're sure?"

"Yup," He responded, "now lets get going. We'll need a bit of space for this conversation."

"Why?" Shoto's mind was starting to clear, and warmth and cold began to emanate from his hands.

"Shoto," Dabi said, looking at him. "Trust me, you don't want to fight me."

The way he said his name... it was familiar. It was like he had heard it before, in a distant, distant memory. This alone was enough to stop his thoughts of attacking him.

The two locked eyes.

"Do you know who I am?"

Shoto stared at him blankly, and Dabi sighed, "Just try to guess."

Shoto began to examine Dabi's features. He had black hair that spiked upward around his head, hanging low over his eyes, which were thin, turquoise in color, and heavily lidded. The purple scars all over his body were like splotches of paint on a canvas.

Shoto wondered about the origins of the scars. They could have come from one of his villain attacks gone awry, or a severe accident that left him in such a state. He pushed the thought away as he closed his eyes, trying his best to concentrate on blocking out the big burns on his face.

The realization set in fast. Alarmingly fast, to be honest. Memories came flooding back in droves.

...

Memories of his brother, Touya.

His eyes widened as he slowly stepped back, "No- no way. ."

Dabi just stood there and smiled.

Shoto backed away, mind racing quicker than it ever had before. His thoughts were so intense that they blocked out everything else, and he tripped.

It felt like his world had been turned upside down. Everything he thought he had once known was fake. Everything. This couldn't be happening. It just didn't make any sense-

Dabi kneeled down next to him, snapping him out of his panic, "Hey, Shoto look at me." Shoto lifted his head, small tears in the corners of his eyes. "Calm down. It's okay."

His focus moved to Dabi's jet black hair. If he focused hard enough, though, he could see one or two strands of white hair that revealed who he was.

"Oh- Oh my god... it's really you," Shoto stuttered, not knowing what to say. "Touya, its really you."

Dabi just chuckled, looking at his brother with a glint of mischievousness in his eyes.

"How are you still alive?"

"And why do you still listen to what that flaming bastard says?" Dabi retorted. "Just join us and become a villain with me."

Shoto stared blankly at him, "Why would I do that?"

"To get revenge, obviously! As a villain, you can do anything, anytime, anywhere," the man was determined to get the boy on his side. "Plus, the point of the League is to get back at corrupt heroes and villains. Give them a taste of their own medicine, you know?"

Dabi gave out his hand for the other boy to grab, "Endeavor's on the list~"

Shoto thought for a while. He hesitantly reached out for Dabi's hand, "What's the plan? Do we just kill him or something?"

"That would be putting him out of his misery. I got that quote from Zero. But, we really need to make him suffer much more than that- And, the leader makes all the plans, so I can't really promise anything right now." Dabi muttering the last part.

"You mean Shigaraki?"

"No, it's Zero," he started. "The guy that was with me earlier."

Suddenly, Dabi's phone vibrated, "Shoot!" He took out his phone and glanced at the time before putting it back again, "How is it already twelve!?"

"What?" he asked as Dabi turned his head to him, "What's happening at twelve?"

"Okay, Shoto, you have to listen to me very carefully," he began, "Keep on running north until you reach the spot where you and your class were originally at. Like, the place where you guys were doing your 'test of courage' thing or whatever."

The younger brother nodded his head as Dabi continued in a hurry, "When you get there, hide in the bushes around the area so no one, and I say NO ONE, can see you."

"Then, what?" Shoto asked.

Dabi smirked before running in the opposite direction.

"JUST LET THE SCENE PLAY OUT!"
