Chapter 21: Two Choices

"Would you like to stay will me until this thing blows over, Shoto?"

The red and blue siren. Zero's toothy grin.

Two pairs of shoes. The car blended into the night sky. A brown door with a gold handle.

Shoto shook, Endeavor is behind that door. I can't.

Turn.

Aizawa. Smile?

Knocking door. Shinsou.

Knocks. Mic.

Knock. Knock.

Shoto's eyes flickered open and he groaned. What was I dreaming about? Suddenly, his attention was lifted to the knocking on his window. Should he inform you the Guest Room he is in at this very moment is on the second floor? He slowly raised himself from his bed to the window. He clumsily clasped the curtains in his hand and yanked them away.

And there he was, Dabi sitting on a tree branch. Open, he mouthed.

Shoto smiled as his sleep disappeared in an instant. He lifted his hand, flipping Dabi off before letting the curtains fall.

Dabi cursed loudly while beating the window, that even Shoto could hear it from the other side. He rapidly caved in and opened it, "Your going to break the window! What do you want?"

"If you don't wake up, your gunna be late for school and I can't say good morning to my baby bro?"

"Fine, good morning and Aizawa told me I don't have to go to school today."

They locked eyes with each other, "Aizawa is pretty decent, huh? He's letting you stay at his place while they get the Endeavor thing sorted out. I bet it's very chaotic."

Todoorki groaned again before answering, "Shinsou told Aizawa that he wanted siblings, IN FRONT OF ME and Mic shattered a window by laughing too loud! The glass pieces almost hurt the cats!"

"Sounds like fun," the ends of his lips tugged into a smile.

"Also, I heard about what happened with Endeavor on the news. How you acted as bait? Your brave. Really."

His eyes's widened at that, but his face was fighting a huge smile afterwards. He fake-gagged at Dabi's words and placed two fingers in front of his mouth. He swiftly closed the window on Dabi's unexpected fingers, causing him to scream profanities and loose his placement on the tree.

He glanced at Dabi through the window, "If he didn't break his ribs, he'll be fine."

Shoto make his way back to bed. His eyes met the uniform sprawled out on the bed. He stood staring at it for a good minute, contemplating the two options he had. He grit his teeth and snatched his uniform.

Just because Endeavor was arrested yesterday it didn't stop everyone from knowing. He was the number two Hero after all. There was probably thousands of articles and videos and pictures on the internet already.
