Haydens POV:
I'm starting to freak out, and rush to pack my bag up and get the hell out of dodge. Hopefully I can sneak out without anyone seeing me or stopping me. I pause for a minute to relish in the feeling of my win. I smile for a second but then it drops just as fast as it came.
"Aye Hayday! Here's your cut!" John walks in with a fat envelope filled with cash. "That was quite the show and win if I must say. I mean I thought you were good but damn not that good." He smiled like he knew something I didn't.
Just as John handed me the fat envelope they walked in. Fox eyed the cash and then looked back at me. Great. They expected me to give them answers. I sigh and stuff the money in my bag. John looks between me and them, getting the message he laughs, mutters 'Hayday' and walks out. My body aches, my face hurts and I just want to go to bed. I strip down to my sports bra and spanks and fumble to get my wraps off to rest my hands. When I drop my top to the floor Sara gasps and I look at her over my shoulder at her and shrug. Which was a bad idea really.
"Get me the ice packs from the freezer." I say without looking back hoping someone would do it for me so I wouldn't have to do it myself and have to bend over. I feel someone place them over my shoulder, I grab them but then a hand grabs mine.
"Explain." Fox.
I should have known this wouldn't be easy. Staying quiet is my best option at the moment, giving myself time to cool off, to let the adrenaline running through my body wear off. I've already snapped at Sara. So I think now it's my time to ask questions.
"What are you guys doing here? Doesn't really seem like your scene." I murmur ripping the ice packs from Fox's grip and placing it on my ribs and securing it there with a bandage and holding the other to my face. I turn around showing them I want an answer to my question. Fox has his arms crossed and Sara is cuddled into Blaine, the sight of these three people cause me to start to giggle. "Well?"
Fox, of course steps up to answer my question, well so I thought. "Sara told us." Was all he had to say. Turning towards Sara I simply just look at her. Deep down I knew she would tell them, I just didn't expect for any of them to see me fight. Blaine steps forward with a look of pity, exactly what I didn't want. Laughing I grab the rest of my stuff and finish packing my bag.
"Get out." I say without turning their way.
"What? No!" That's Sara now.
So I shrug. "Well I can get security to throw you out instead if that's what you want."
"Hayden, answer our questions and we'll leave." God Fox. Always needs to know the answers. For some reason this makes me snap. I spin towards them and shout.
"You wanna know why I'm here? Because not all of us are lucky enough to have happy families or really good friends to rely on. I have myself and myself alone understand? I have a little brother who needs me, who relies on me. So ultimately I'm looking after two people! I'm an 18 year old living in an apartment alone, in full time education so finding the time to work is pretty hard so I have to earn my money some how. Now I'm sure you have actual skills to use to get a job, but this, fighting, is my skill. It's all I've ever been good at. But let me clear something up right now. I do not pity or feel sorry for myself or my situation and I don't want you to either." I take a deep breathe and look at them. They're all pale and looking at the floor except for Fox. He looks determined.
"You might know my story now but it changes nothing. In fact it has just made my choice a lot easier and clearer. We are not friends, we will never be friends. I'll stay out of your way and life and you will do the same. Okay? I fight. I'm a good fighter, a champion in fact." At this point I'm out of breathe and ready to break down.
"No." Fox takes a step forward and looks me right in the eye. What does he mean no?
"You can't just say no!" I exclaim. At this he takes another step closer, but this time he doesn't stop. He keeps coming. So I in turn back up a step with every step he takes. Eventually he backs me into a corner. I start to panic when he cages me in with his arms. I warn him to let me go but he doesn't. So I throw a punch to his stomach, but I make sure I pull my punch a bit so it's not as strong as my usual punch. I rush to my bags grab them and run out of there as if my ass is on fire.
As I'm running out there is so much running around inside my head. Such as I have school with them tomorrow.
