the stake burst in flames. lizzie looked at it with helpless eyes. she knew this would end bad for her. why was it so hard to get hope's humanity back on?
"now that that's taken care of," hope looked at the ashes of the stake call to the ground. "what to do with you?" she said aloud. in reality, she was just talking to herself.
hope contemplated how she should play this conversation out in her head. she could snap lizzie's neck. it'd be quick and painless. but then she'd have josie to deal with, if she wakes up, that is. why did they have to have a psychic bond?

hope looked at lizzie. lizzie looked at hope. fear filled the blonde girls eyes, meanwhile, a dull cloud filled hope's. "so, how are we going to handle this?" hope asked. she wanted a genuine answer since it was a genuine question. lizzie looked at her blankly. "screw you, hope." lizzie's words were bitter, but no match for hope's emotionless spit. "hmm. that simply won't work." she sighed in disappointment. lizzie tried to remember the little few good memories she had with hope. like their picnic.

she felt the warmth from the sun behind the clouds, the autumn trees falling into place, their conversation. it all warmed her heart, but the second she realised what situation she was in, it turned cold again. hope looked lizzie up and down shamelessly. lizzie felt her stare but chose not to do anything about it. "hope, think about this." lizzie broke their silence. "i don't want to." hope huffed. she began to walk towards lizzie, who was dead frozen. she wanted to move but couldn't. something about hope was attractive, lizzie liked this hope, more than she'd like to admit.

by the time lizzie made eye contact with hope, she was about three to four inches away from her. she could feel hope's warm soft breath on her lips. "don't forget our good times," lizzie reasoned. hope laughed a little. "lizzie, sweetie, there were no 'good times'." lizzie raised her eyebrow. they had plenty of good times together...right? "what are you talking about?" a part of lizzie knew what hope meant, but another wanted to focus on her feelings and memories with hope. "you had undying hatred towards me until when? this month? lizzie please, if anyone's going to bring my humanity back, it most certainly won't be you." hope's words cut deep. and as much as she'd hate to admit it, hope was right. lizzie hated hope for so long that it makes no possible sense as to why she cares so deeply now.
