lizzie made her way back to the salvatore school. the air was cold and crisp. how it would be after the tribrid was born.

lizzie made her way through the door, and was greeted by the super squad. "where's hope?" landon asked as lizzie shut the door. "doing hero-tribrid things." lizzie smiled faintly. she wasn't wrong. hope was probably doing hero-tribrid things. she smiled at the fact just knowing that hope was a hero. and how great she was at it. suddenly, she lost her train of thought. where's josie? lizzie asked herself. she wasn't with the super squad, so where was she?

mg burst through the door. his shoes worn, his clothes ripped, carrying kaleb over his shoulder. he dropped kaleb and collapsed. landon rushed over to see if he was okay. finally, lizzie decided to break the ice. "where's jo?" she asked confusingly. "uh, not sure. she said she had to go visit someone, but that was two hours ago." landon said, still keeping his attention on my. "who did she visit?" lizzie asked, her voice still shaky.

"didn't say."

lizzie took a breath. she's probably fine, right? josie usually went to meet up with that girl finch she was crushing on, maybe she decided to do that. with all that was happening with josie, lizzie's train of thought finally made its way to hope. "i'll call jo and hope. they can't be far." lizzie whipped out her phone. she called josie first. the phone rang about three times before hitting voicemail. hope's rang about two times before voicemail. odd. josie always answered and hope would at least sent a message if she couldn't talk.

suddenly, there was another knock at the door. this caused kaleb to wake up from his unconsciousness. lizzie walked over to the door in a hurry. maybe it was josie or hope. when she opened the door, she saw a police officer. "how can we help you sir?" lizzie asked. the officer pushed through the door. "invisique." lizzie muttered to hide the super squad. "are you related to josie saltzman?" lizzie took a gulp. "uh, yes. she's my twin sister." lizzie crossed her arms. "why?"

before the officer could continue, alaric came out of his office. "what's going on?!" he yelled. "i assume you're the father?" the officer asked. "uh, yes." he confirmed. alaric and lizzie looked into each other's eyes for a while. this could be about anything

"i'm afraid i have some bad news."
