I stood there for a moment or two just thinking things over, things being what my life had come to. I had the job I loved but I didn't have anyone at home awaiting my arrival each night. This fact daunted me a lot but I had always done my best to ignore it and focus on tasks of daily life, my daily life. These thoughts only washed over me momenteraly before I snapped out of it and got into the swing of the photoshoot. I was barking orders here and there to the staff to set this up and leave that alone. During this time Gerard had moved from the doorway to come and stand infront of the backdrop, once my orders had been completed we began the shoot. The theme for the shoot was winter wonderland and Gerard was wearing all white with his red hair standing out an obscene amount but once I started I no longer cared that it was Gerard Way in front of me, to me he could of been anyone in that time, I was suggesting for him to move his arm or to turn to face the camera sideways on. At first he just stood there like a lemon but very shortly after he complied to my wishes and did as I instructed.
The shoot had been going on for about an hour when I didn't know what to do anymore. I had only ever worked on shoots that had lasted half the amount of time this one had and I had no new material to use to direct him with. Gerard seemed to realise this and smirked at me, I could feel my cheeks beginning to warm while people around me turned to look at me asking the same question behind their eyes, why isn't he saying anything? "Um why don't you s-stay like that with that facial expression?" I stuttered out the words. This only fuelled his amusement and his smirk increased. I snapped a couple of pictures while hurriedly thinking of something to say. "N-now I want to see something you want to do like um, whatever you see fits to the theme" I'd fucked this up. I know I had. I just hoped Pamper and Glory could find a good shot in the ones I had instructed for him to do.
Gerard looked at me for brief second before he started to lay on the ground in the fake snow. His hair was spread out above his head, his face picturesque and he looked angelic. His eyes were shut and his features relaxed, his legs were sprawled out on the ground along with his arms. I hurriedly disconnected my camera from its tripod and walked over to him to take the picture. I took one with an over looking view of him and one from the ground. His eyes popped open to gaze at me then and I took the chance to snap a shot.
Glancing at the clock on the wall behind where my equipment stood I realised my time with the strangely addictive Gerard Way was over. I called out to the rest of the team to notify them of this fact. I picked myself up from the floor and walked over to my equipment to pack it back into my bag. Once I had done this I walked into my room which happened to be next to Gerard's. While I was about to walk into the room I felt a presence behind me. I turned to see who was there to find Gerard. He smiled slightly at me and I could feel my cheeks start to heat up. I glanced nervously at the ground while fidgeting with the bag strap on my shoulder. "I-I um, thank you for helping me out before." I looked at him from beneath my eyelashes while I said this. He laughed slightly before saying,
"No need to thank me Frank Iero, I was merely doing my job." and with that he departed into his dressing room.Embarrassed and flushed I rushed into my room. Not even a minute after I had entered was there a knock at my door. "Come in" I yelled while grabbing my phone and keys.
"That went so well Frank! Come tomorrow at five so we can take a look at the shots ok? Wanna have a movie night tonight to celebrate?" I instantly knew it was Ray who was speaking. I turned around to face him and gave him a small grin.
"Sorry Ray, not tonight. I need to get some sleep as I have another shoot tomorrow at eight remember? With Brendon for that local magazine?" In all honesty I wasn't really that tired. I just needed to get away from work and if that meant Ray as well then so be it. Today had been really stressful and it was meant to be my day off after all so I did have the right to spend it by myself.
"Oh alright Frank, you get yourself rested up. We can do it next Sunday right?" His grin faltered at the beginning of his words but soon brightened up towards the end. I smiled back at him and nodded my head. He left soon after with a promise to call me later. I then carried on with what I was doing and grabbed my hoodie and left for the door. Upon opening it I ran straight into someone, I looked up to meet bright hazel eyes and a small smirk.
"You just can't get enough of me can you?" He laughed shortly. I burned a deep shade of red at his statement and stood frozen in place. "Meet me somewhere later tonight ok? I heard you turn down your friend so don't say you already have plans." I looked at him again to see if he was joking and once I saw the serious undertone in his eyes I found myself nodding.
"Where d-do you want to meet me?" I cursed at myself for stuttering and glanced at my feet again, all plans of getting away from work long forgotten.
"Meet me here, at the parking lot at eight. You better come or I will be mad." and then he leaned down and whispered in my ear again, "and you won't like me when I'm mad Frankie." With that he took off without so much as a farewell in my direction. With my cheeks still tinted pink I made my way to my car and clambered into it. I sat there staring ahead at the place where I was supposed to meet Gerard later this evening, what was I supposed to do for the rest of the day? If there was one thing for sure though that was that I was not expecting any of my encounters with the striking Gerard Way but lord knows I was grateful I had had them.
