"That Anastacius... I swear, I'll rip him into pieces!" I yelled in anger as I watched the door going further and further away from me.
"We'll get through this together." Diana said and assured me with a smile.
"Diana?"
I heard Claude's voice from behind us. We widened our eyes before turning around to see Claude standing before us with a surprised and longing expression across his face.
"Your majesty?"
After Diana called out to him, he abruptly went to her and wrapped his arms around her. I slightly moved away and let them have a heart warming reunion.
If Claude is here, then..!

A certain maid approached the table with her lips curved up into a grin. Athanasia noticed the maid and widened her eyes when she recognized her.
"Are you the maid who was in charge of Blackie in his last moments?"
The princess's questioned made the girl to stop. The blonde haired's attention is completely focused on the girl until the emperor coughed.
"Daddy!" She called out to her father who collapsed with blood scattered around his mouth and hand.
Athanasia and Jennette quickly stood up from their seats and approached his majesty. She turned to where the maid was since she didn't react.
"What..?" Was the only word Athanasia can blurt out since the maid was nowhere in sight.

"...After that, I ran away. That's all." Anasticius finished telling Athanasia and Felix how he was still alive.
"Do you really think that's..!"
She didn't manage to finish her sentence when the red haired knight stood in front of her to protect her from the late emperor, Anastacius De Alger Obelia.
"Princess, I will capture him and take him to custody."
Felix said which made the girl glance to him while the man before them turned around to his shoulder and smirked, letting his dangerous mana radiate.
"You're going to catch me?" Anastacius questioned which made them shiver.
A light appeared in front of Felix and turned into a hologram of Maui. Anastacius widened his eyes in surprise when he saw her. She had a frown across her face.
"Black. Whoever you are, you will not be able to hurt princess Athanasia."
She raised her arm and swung it in front of him. An invisible force pushed him away from the three which made him grit his teeth since he wasn't able to protect himself from the attack.
"I should've known that my niece is protected by the 2nd royal magician's hologram, how adorable."
His sentence made the girl blast another attack at him, but he managed to protect himself. Barely, because his hand started to bleed after the destructive wave.
"Since it seems like that thing wouldn't stop from attacking until I'm killed, we'll take our leave. This conference room wouldn't be of use if it keeps attacking me, I think you wouldn't like that, right? Princess."
"Roger Alpheus, I will not forget what happened today."

"My Maui.."
Anastacius called out to the girl who's locked in a magic cage beneath of the Alpheus's residence. He approached the girl who's standing still in the cell he personally made.
"It pains me to lock you up in this animal like cage. If you just stayed obedient, you wouldn't have been punished." He whispered with a cunning smile across his lips.
When he noticed that she suddenly used her magic without his permission, he quickly dragged her in the basement and created a cage that would refrain her from using magic.
He shoved her inside it with tears flowing down his cheeks. How terrifying it was when the view of a mad evil spirit started to cry because of his own actions.
"Now that it looks like you're able to move the slightest bit, I have to strengthen the curse." He said with a ridiculous sad tone.
He placed his hand on the cell and started doing what he just said. Maui's eyes widened before she fell on the ground while coughing a lot of blood. Her body is started to break which made him stop.
"My Maui, I'm so sorry for doing this to you. If only you chose me and not that bastard, we would've been happy by now. We would've been a married couple with multiple kids."
He whispered with am expression that screams, pity. The girl's body fell on the ground due to how much blood she lost from the painful coughing. He stared at her pitiful figure before turning around and walked away.
Without him knowing, blood started pouring down from her eyes.

"I can see it all, Diana.. Everything I've did to Athanasia is flooding in my mind." I fell on my knees while tears started falling down to the ground.
"Maui.." Diana called out as I felt her hands on my shoulders.
"D-Diana, I tried to protect Athanasia from anything dangerous. I never thought that I'd be the one to harm her... Why didn't the thought of that bastard using me to threaten her life, never crossed my mind?"
"It's not your fault, Maui. It wasn't you who harmed Athy, it was the late emperor. Everything that had happened is not your fault." I immediately turned to her.
"But it is! I don't know how to help her anymore because I changed everything! I don't know what would happen next since that man is controlling my body!" I cried which made small beads appear on the corner of her eyes.
"Then, are you just going to shed tears and just watch?"
Claude suddenly spoke which made us turn to the side and saw him staring at us. I kept quiet and looked down to the ground before a memory flashed in my mind.
"No. Not when I have a card that I never thought I'd actually use, until now.."
