The sun glitters through the white curtains,
Ivory beams stretch across the room.
Your side of the bed still lingers with your ghost.
There's a glass of water on the nightstand. How crystal clear it is.
I smile when I see you
Morning coffee's steam dancing in the light
Your eyes stare out the window.
They're deep brown,
Like your coffee,
But in the light I see how crystal clear they are.How clear I wish they'd remain.
You smile when I look at you
As you know what runs through my mind.
You feel anxious,
As I'm anxious.
So you turn to me and smile,
And chime your loving
"Good morning, Honeybun"
With that voice, how crystal clear it is.How clear I wish it'd remain.
You stood up and wrapped your arms around me,
Your body against mine,
Warm and pleasant to me.
Here in your arms my mind is clear.
How clear I wish it'd remain.
