Snow falls down in sway, you know.
It hesitates before it hits the ground.
And yet, we watch as it falls, the snow.
We wait until it's settled down.I watched the snowflakes falling down,
I watched them fall, not far from town,
Snowflakes shimmer white and holy;
Now I know why it falls so slowly.I stared up as snowflakes fall,
When I heard it through the outer wall.
A last repent; as the wind grows stronger-
Bloodstained snow remembers longer.Now I know why it hesitates-
The pure winter snow -- taints longer.
