It didn't take Vicki long to convince her parents to let her fly to Chicago. Her cousin lived there, and besides that, her parents had studied at the college there. It was clear to them that she wanted to continue the family traditions and see the city before beginning her studies. No one suspected what the real reason for her visit was. Only Ali knew about it.

Vicki knew the name of the man she wanted to find. She had a few photos of him, knew he was an engineer, and what part of the city he worked in. That was enough to track him down on Facebook.

Since he gave me so much information about himself, I guess he wanted me to find him, Vicki thought.

As Ali drove her friend to the San Francisco airport, Vicki told her that she had thought long and hard about her future and had decided not to go to college for now. She decided to take a makeup artist course in Chicago or New York and find an Internship on the set of a TV show to gain experience. Ali didn't understand her friend's decision, but she didn't want to stress Vicki out right before meeting the guy she was so crazy about. She simply asked if Vicki could find some course in San Francisco or Los Angeles because she couldn't imagine not seeing her regularly.

Vicki decided to go straight from the airport to meet Jimmy. She figured that since it was Friday, he could get off work early. She bought a coffee and a sandwich on the way, then found a seat on a wall near the office building where her dream man worked. When Vicki saw Jimmy coming out of the building, she texted him.

"I have a surprise for you, I hope you like it."

"I love surprises." Jimmy wrote back, thinking about the photo in sexy lingerie.

"Look to your left" she continued. Jimmy's face paled as he read the text message. The man said goodbye to his work colleague, looked around nervously, and walked toward Vicki.

"What're you doing here?" He asked.

"I'm visiting my cousin and thought it would be fun to meet up with you," Vicki replied excitedly.

"I wish you'd warned me. I'd have talked you out of it," grunted Jimmy.

"But, you said you wanted to show me your favorite places and the pub you like to hang out at when you chat with me," she continued with hope in her voice.

"Those are the things you say to build the mood. I never intended to take our friendship beyond the virtual world. I have a wife and kids. I love them and I don't want to lose them," Jimmy almost shouted.

"You've already lost them," Vicki replied softly.

"Listen to me carefully. If my wife, finds out about us, I'll find you and destroy you," he said in a stern tone. "And I don't want to see you here again."

After that, Jimmy left, not caring about the state he left Vicki in.

Ali was surprised that her friend didn't respond to her text messages. The next day, she called her. After several missed calls, Vicki called Ali back.

"He doesn't want to see me anymore," Vicki said in a sad voice.

Ali wished so much to be with her friend at that moment. She'd love to hug her, offer to watch Friends together, and eat their favorite ice cream right out of the container. From a distance, she could only comfort her with the fact that he was probably already regretting his decision, or that he'd call her right away to tell her he had changed his mind. Then she promised Vicki that she'd pick her up from the airport tomorrow.
