Deanna's P.O.V

{Around a Month later}

Growling I punched another guard. Me and Clint had been sent on a break in mission a few hours ago. It was meant to be a simple break in and collect information mission but it had gone terrible wrong. Over the past month-about- me and Beth had become closer to the Avengers, since they were training us.

Turned out we were actually quiet like our trainers in a way. Beth was smart like Bruce while fairly strong like Steve; I was skilled like the two assassins. Anyway back to the mission. It was going well until a guard out of sequence saw us and now we had every guard in the base on our case.

Me and Clint had been fighting for around half an hour and my stamina was slowly wearing down. "Mockingbird!" Clint suddenly yelled as I slammed my bow into a few guards heads. "Quick the room we need is there!" He yelled pointing. Nodding we both ran into the room and Clint slammed the door, locking it and breathed out a sigh of relief.

"Let's just get this information and get out of here, I'm exhausted" I grumbled making my way over to the computer with Clint not to far behind. He plugged the memory stick into the hard drive and began downloading the files we needed. Suddenly a loud beeping filled the room and a metal door slammed over the original door.

Shuttered covered the windows and a voice rang out "Bomb activated, five minuets till detonation." My mind fell blank.

"Dammit!" Clint exclaimed as I lent against the desk heavily. My mind began to race things of escapes but nothing came up we were trapped in a room with a a bomb that's about to explode, killing us both.

"Clint," I mumbled "We can't get out, this is it. Fury said it would be easy"

"Hey, hey, hey" Clint cooed as tears slipped down my cheeks.

"No Clint!" I suddenly snapped as more tears ran down my cheeks. "We're going to die. I'm never going to see my friends again, my family again!"

"Hey, listen we will get out. I've just called Fury." Clint said leaning against the desk next to me and nudging my shoulder ever so slightly.

"If we don't get out of this?" I questioned "I want to tell you something"

"Go ahead" He said looking down at me a little skeptically.

"I'm not an assassin, I can't hid my emotions like you can. I'm not fast thinking, I'm not good at planning missions and I apparently can't conduct missions! But there is one thing I am good at and that's telling my emotions.

"Beth is my best friend, Ronnie was too before she turned evil. Tony, Bruce, Thor and Steve are all like Uncles. The funny Uncle, the Uncle that helps with homework, the story telling Uncle and the Uncle that knows about history.

"Natasha is like an Aunt or cousin. She's amazing and will happily go shopping. But there's one person I'm missing isn't there? You. When we moved over to America it was hard for me, leaving my family and everyone.

"You all helped me through it your own ways but you helped me the most. I was close to my brother over in England and I always believed he would be the only one to fit that brother slot in my heart.

"But guess what? I made room for two brothers, you being the second. I love you like a little sister should love a brother. Yes we arguing and fight but what siblings don't? I've never let anyone into my life easily but with you it was different.

"And I'm happy to call you my brother, I'm happy that you fill that spot in my heart. If anyone was to ask about you if we walked down the street together, if anyone questioned our relationship.

"You know what I'd say without a second thought? He's my brother. I know you don't exactly do sappy things and emotions aren't your strong point but they are my strongest points. I just needed you to know before this all ended.

"And I'm happy to end it with someone I care about, that's always been my dream. To either end it surrounded by people I love and care about or with people I love and care about. I guess what I'm saying is...

"Thank you for coming into my life. Thank you for training me and helping. But mostly, thank you for being there for me when others weren't or when others couldn't be." I finished my heart felt speech and looked to the ground.

Suddenly Clint's arms wrapped around my shoulders and he brought me into a hug, shocking me slightly but I didn't care. Tears were still streaming. "I'm happy to be apart of your life" He murmured into my hair.

"Your like a sister to me too and thank you for being in my life." I sniffed and buried my head into his chest. This was how it was going to end but I didn't care. "Okay Fury we are finished, she passed." Clint suddenly said. The room lit up brightly and I pulled away from Clint slightly, but not completely from his embrace.

The room shifted from the room at the base to the walls of the Stark tower training room. "You bitches" I muttered looking around.

"Sorry" Clint chuckled.

"I meant what I said through" I added looking up at him. Clint smiled.

"I meant it too." Without a second thought I hugged him again and he relaxed into it, his arms encircled my waist and we both stood there in a S.H.E.I.L.D training room hugging like a brother and sister should.
