Bethany's P.O.V

After spending two hours at the library me and Ronnie finally decided to call it a day. The books we were looking for where not there; much to Ronnie's disappointment. "Cheer up, you can still do magic" I reminded her as we began to walk back to the flat we shared with Deanna.

"I know but the books hold so much more. I hold so much more." Ronnie sighed. Staying silent I continued to walk down the street with Ronnie next to me. It was a nice day, until there was an explosion. A loud 'BOOM' echoed through the air and screams soon followed.

Glancing round I saw smoke rising from a few roads away. "Ronnie!" I yelled pointing before taking off in that direction. She followed me but not at as much of a fast pace. I kept running and pulled out my phone, dialling Deanna's I turned a corner and sped towards the rising smoke.

"Hello?" Deanna answered her phone, AC/DC playing quietly in the background.

"Deanna, the explosion just." I began but she cut me off.

"I know I heard it" The music shut off and the sound of a door slamming could be heard. "I'm on my way, meet you there" With that she hung up and re-pocketed my phone. I reached the site and a minuet later so did Ronnie. She opened her mouth to speak but stop when she saw what I was staring at.

A group of red, larva covered beasts were destroying everything I site, throwing boiling larva and molten rock. A small figure, most likely the master mind behind it, hovered above a few of the creatures. People were running for their lives and screaming extremely loudly.

"Larva monsters in England, what next? Ice monsters in Africa?" Deanna's voice asked as she appeared beside Ronnie. I looked at her and she shrugged innocently. "Does it matter what they are and where they are?" I questioned.

"No but it matters that they are here destroying everything" Ronnie replied.

"What are we supposed to do?" I asked. "We're just three normal teenagers that would get burnt if we touched them."

"Normal really Beth?" Deanna asked looking at me with a raised eyebrow. "The three of us are anything but normal, and yes we properly would get burnt if we touched them but we don't have to. Ronnie has her powers, I have my bow and arrows." I then noticed the quiver and bow slung on my blonde friends back.

"And you Beth have these" Two hand guns. Deanna then pulled out two hand guns from her pocket and handed them to me. I knew how to shoot and I had a good shot. "Where did you?" I began to ask but Deanna shook her head and threw me the two weapons. I decided not to question further.

"So shall we play heroes?" Ronnie smirked, her hands glowing blue slightly.

"Let's play heroes" I nodded and with that the three of us took off running towards the chaos. However I had a feeling that wasn't the best idea ever.
