Deanna's P.O.V
Swinging my legs, I sat on the chair provided in the 'interrogation' room. Every once in a while my feet would scrap the floor but it was never often due to my short hight stature. After about an hour of waiting all the Avengers piled in. "You know I thought kidnapping and drugging me was enough for you, but you still insist on making me wait." I said with a smile.
Non of them looked amused. "Hey Cap?" I questioned, instantly earning me his attention. Smirking I said " Hail HYDRA." You could see it was taking every ounce of his self control for him not to jump over the table and attacking me for my dry comment towards him.
"Aw" I pouted "Don't be so low key I know it's a Thor joke" Surprised they never linked me to Mockingbird (my other person) I kept going. I could tell by the looks in their eyes I was annoying them. "These are very Starkcastic comments aren't they?" I questioned batting my eyelashes innocently.
"The whole atmosphere is a little hawkward but I'm still feeling and jolly as ever!" I beamed.
"Stop!" Captain snapped. I grinned, oh how I was getting on their nerves.
"Chill Cap, oh wait you did seventy years ago. Damn I would have loved to be frozen. Imagine waking up in a whole new time" I sighed slipping unintentionally into a daydream.
"It isn't as good as you make it sound." Cap stated, his voice breaking slightly.
"Yes I fell into an abyss for a few years. Coming back is quiet odd." Loki agreed. Suddenly my whole attitude changed, as the reality of what I had said hit home. I was no longer in a mocking mood as I watched the 'all so strong' Captain America fight off tears a teenage girl had caused with a few words.
The room was silent, my guilt swallowed me up quickly and uncomfortably. In a dash I jumped off the chair and hugged the Captain around the middle. He tensed. "I'm so sorry" I mumbled into his chest. I felt like an idiot, how could I say something like that when I knew his history.
"That was so heartless of me" I cried. Suddenly I felt strong arms wrap around me in return.
"It's okay, I forgive you" Captain muttered into my hair gently. A few stray tears slipped form my eyes as I pulled away to look up at him. He was at least a foot taller than me. "Still living in a world full of giants!" I exclaimed looking around. Everyone was taller than me.
"I don't like it" I mumbled pulling away from the Captain and crossing my arms with a pout.
"Cheer up sweetheart being small has its advantages I'm sure" Tony said with a small smile.
"Yeah I mean look at me compared to the other guy" Bruce said quietly.
"I feel like a little shit being horrible to you all, you all seem so nice" I said. Everyone gasped in sync and looked at me wide eyed, like bugs. "What?" I questioned really confused.
"Your sixteen, how could you have language like that?" Natasha asked. Rolling my eyes I replied;
"Because I grew up in a school where you need to defend yourself in both verbal and physical abuse. You pick up a few words" With that I shrugged and pulled out my phone. I sent Beth and Ronnie a text:
'Cafe down the street from ours, meet me there. They let me go, wrong person apparently'
"Guys! We need to go back to where you picked me up from, we're going to pick the other two up!" I called.
"You're just handing yourself and them over to us?" Hawkeye asked.
"It's the least I could do after what ever that was then." I replied with a smile.
'We'll be there' Came two replies.
"Right then let's go!" Steve announced as we all left to pick up my two friends who had no idea what they were in for.
