Bethany's P.O.V

My thoughts wandered as I sat alone in my room. The curtains closed and soft classical music drifting from my phone on the bedside table. No one disturbed me, no one was in the tower but Deanna and i knew she was feeling the same as me. My mind drifted back to the conversation I had, had with Steve earlier.

Flashback:
My fists hit the punching bag over and over, my mind only focusing on the blows I sent to the inanimate object. My hits got stronger and stronger until I was interrupted. A hand was placed on my right shoulder and I spun around, twisting it mostly likely uncomfortably.

The person hissed slightly in pain before swapping the position. A small smile found its way to my lips as me and Steve began to spar. We matched each other dangerously, but neither the less we laughed. It was nice to just have a laugh, we rarely got that with missions and what not.

After a few minuets we both gave in, to evenly matched to even win. "Nice round" I commented.

"You too Angel, although you could work on your-"

"Cap if you're about to give me a lecture stop, right now. You'll sound like my Dad." I chuckled. At the mention of my Father the super solider tensed ever so slightly. "You okay there?" I asked concerned.

"Perfectly fine."

"Liar."

"What makes you think I'm lying?"

"Steve I was taking criminology before you came to get us from England. I can tell when someone's lying." I answered with an honest shrug. Steve watched me for a moment before huffing, making my eyebrow raise. "Since when did you huff?"

Without another word Steve walked towards me and grabbed my arms. "I'm about to tell you something important and I want you to know in advance that I'm sorry."

"Sorry for what?" My confusion levels had shot through the roof with his last statement.

"You know S.H.E.I.L.D isn't short of enemies." He began, I nodded slowly. "Well there's this one enemy we have, one you hopefully won't have to encounter. They are the worst of the worst, I can't even justify them. Recently we've received some activity from them.

"Some activity that non of us wanted to hear about. This group of people were tracked in England around a week ago, and they did something bad, something that effects you and Deanna more than the rest of us. S.H.E.I.L.D Agents went to the spots in England the group were tracked in.

"In one of the three spots lay three dead bodies, they had killed. The three bodies were identified a few days ago. Elizabeth, Richard and Jorja Lloyd were found dead at the scene." He finished, his eyes filled with pity and sorrow. My mind stopped, everything went blank for a moment.

"My parents and sister?" I stuttered out slowly, making him nod equally slow. My heart began beating rapidly and my breathing became uneven. My head fuzzed slightly and I became light headed. "Beth, Bethany you need to breath!" Steve yelled as I fell to the floor.

Flashback over

That was the last I heard before blacking out. I had woken up an hour later with a note from everyone but Deanna saying they were on a mission. That was five hours before and I was beginning to get worried. Deanna hadn't left her room and neither had I. We we alone, sadness eating us alive.
