Violet's POV
I just got home from a shoot I still haven't heard from Drex I hope he's alright I try calling him again then I feel hands around me one covering my mouth I'm so glad for quick reflexes i leave the call up with Drex slipping my phone in my pocket but I drop something that sounds similar.
"DO.NOT.SCREAM"
I know that voice all to well Devin...
He removes his hand but keeps his grip on my waist.
"Devin! What the hell are you doing?" I ask
He pulls a gun and cocks it holding it to my head "Do as I say and you'll be fine okay?"
I nod furiously scared to say anything.
"As you know Kayleen is pregnant"
"Yes I know" I say
"And babies are a lot of money which I know you and your little boyfriend have" he says
"Let me guess you want money?" I ask
"Good to see your still sharp as ever"
*meanwhile*
Drex's POV
After dealing with all that I had some drinks in my office last night and fell asleep I wake up when I hear Violet's voice on my phone.
"So I'm guessing if I don't give you the money you'll kill me?" She asks
I mute myself and scream "DEVIN! YOU'LL PAY FOR MESSING WITH WHAT'S MINE"
I quickly get dressed calling my dad, Violet's parents and the cops then we rush to her house.
**meanwhile**
Violet's POV
"You have offically lost it why don't you just get a job?" I ask
"Even with a job it's still expensive and you have plenty of money" he says
"That's all this is about is fucking money?!" I ask
He punches me in the stomach I fall to the ground.
"DON'T FUCKING TALK TO ME ANYWAY YOU PLEASE" He screams
I cry "Y-your a m-monster"
He kicks me in my stomach and back then punches me a couple more times "SHUT UP YOU BITCH"
I cry harder "Just take the fucking money and leave me alone!"
He picks me up by my throat holding me in the air "YOU THINK I'M AN IDIOT? YOU COULD HAVE RIGGED IT TO EXPLODE!" he screams slamming me down
I look around and see the gun he dropped I inch to it grabbing it "Hey Devin?" I ask
"What is it bitch?" He asks
"KAYLEEN AND YOUR SON DESERVE BETTER" I say shooting him in the leg
He falls to the ground as my parents, some other guy, Drex and the police come in and apprehend Devin.
My mom cries "MY BABYGIRL ARE YOU OKAY?!"
"Y-yeah sort of mom" I say coughing
Drex rushes to me "are you alright?" He asks
"Y-yeah just banged up" I say
"I'll call the inhome doctor we have" mom says
"I KNEW IT DIDN'T LIKE HIM!" Dad yells
"D-dad p-please it's over" I say trying to stand but I fall back down
Drex picks me up bridal style carrying me to the couch.
"How did you know?" I ask
"You left your call up with me" he says
"That's my smart and beautiful daughter" Dad says kissing my cheek
"I remember somethings you taught me dad I just never expected to go through what momma and grandma nyx went through" I say
"Your grandma nyx and mother are strong women so are you" he says smiling
I smile "Dad have I ever said your the best dad a daughter could ask for?"
He smiles "I love you angel"
"I love you more papa" I say smiling
After getting checked out I have a few bruises which are gonna heal on their own and I've been giving pain killers for the pain that I have to take before bed and during breakfast with food if I take them on an empty stomach I'll vomit. Nothing major thank god for that my parents leave and Drex explains last night to me.
"I never want you to leave me alone alright?" He asks
I smile "okay"
"I heard your voice on my phone I thought I was gonna lose you" he says crying
{Wow no guy has ever cried over the thought of losing me he must really love me}
I wipe his tears and lay his head on my lap running my fingers through his hair "hey, I'm alright, I'm touched that you'd be so broken if you lost me I love you so much my handsome king your queen is fine just sore"
"If I ever lost you I-I-" I cut him off by kissing his lips he kisses back.
"My love you've got me I'm fine let's just be glad of that and don't think about that okay?" I ask
"Okay I love you so much" he says smiling
"I love you more" I say smiling back
"Where was Kelley?" He asks
"Date with Kane Brown" I say
"What about Rim and Ryuk?" He asks
"I actually don't know" I say
"Miss james are you alright?" Rim asks
"Sort of where were y'all?" I ask
"We were guarding the place then everything went black" Ryuk says
"He must have knocked y'all out then disabled the secur system" I say
"Yeah he must have" Drex says
