Mommy Dearest chapter 31

Violet's POV

Drex's mother Diane is coming over again *eye roll* this is not gonna end well. It didn't last time and won't again God man why is she so annoying? The wedding was supposed to be last month but we both have been extremely busy so we aren't even sure when the wedding will be at this point... Soon she arrives...

"Drex my son!" She beams hugging him

"Mother." He says half smiling

She sighs "And Violet.. Where is chole Drex? You have a daughter with her.. so why are you still with this one?"

"Mother please.. you came to have a good time at brunch leave my fiancee alone." Drex says annoyed by his mother's behavior.

I sigh "I'll get the champagne."

"Ooh lovely.. now I can survive this.." Diane says smiling

I half smile "Great!"

As soon as I enter the kitchen I roll my eyes and shake my head. {what is her problem with me? I'm gonna be her son's wife soon... I haven't done anything wrong.}

Drex wraps his hands around my waist and rocks me back and forth I laugh and turn in his arms.

"Hello honey, shouldn't you be with mommy Dearest?" I ask

"Screw her. I'm loving on my fiancee soon to be wife." Drex says smiling

I smile "When did you wanna schedule the wedding? Honestly I just wanna be your wife now."

He chuckles "I feel the same way. I'd love for you to be the future Mrs. Gold how about this coming weekend? We have your gown, the rings, my suit, and the colors, and invites all we'd need to do is find a preacher, decide a location and catering."

"My dad can marry us, why not have a backyard wedding? And I'll call catering tomorrow?" I ask

"Okay sounds good to me baby. I can't for you to be Mrs. Gold." Drex says smiling

I smile back "I can't either."

"Violet? Where's the wine? Jeez how are you gonna please my son if you can't do a simple task?"

I take a deep breath "Right away ma'am."

"That's more like it dear." She says smiling

*A little while later*

"Violet are you using my son for his money?" Diane asks

"No I'm not why would you think that?" I ask

"Oh please you are such a gold digger."

"Look lady you are really lucky your old." I snap

"Oh yeah? And what were you gonna do?" She asks pushing me toward the edge of the pool.

"You did not just push me you old bitch"

"How dare you speak to me like that? I'm drex's mother." Diane says

"Yeah the same one who treats me like shit." I say

She scoffs "Please my son can do so much better than you."

"Drex I apologize in advance." I say

{I've had it with this bitch thinking she can walk all over me it's about time she was taught a lesson}

I take a deep breath and slap her across the face she holds her cheek shocked then she grabs me by shoulders and pushes me into the pool falling in herself.

"Drex help me son she slapped me." Diane says

Drex helps her out of the water and sits her on a chair.

Then Drex gets me out of the water.

"Drex. I know your mad son but this why I say you can do better than her." Diane says

Drex looks furious I sigh.

"Look Drex everyone has a breaking point I'm sorry I'll leave and stay with my parents for a while if you want." I say walking off but Drex does something I don't expect...

He grabs me by waist and kisses me passionately I'm taken back but kiss back.

Diane scoffs "How can you kiss her after what she did to me?"

Drex groans "Mother you deserved it she's gonna be my wife this weekend weather you like it or not.. so now you may leave."

Diane scoffs once more but gets up to leave.

"Babe I-" I'm cut off by Drex kissing me again I kiss back.

"I'm not mad at you and never was. I was furious with her because of her rude comments to you." He says caressing my cheek with his thumb

I smile "I really am sorry. I couldn't take it anymore."

He smiles back "I know baby, I know I'm not mad at you and I love you."

"I love you too baby" I say hugging him he hugs back.
