Chapter 4: The Ride

It had been 2 weeks since Techno had gotten out of the med ward, he was back to normal, well as normal as he could be considering the voices were getting louder and more demanding

"Father they are getting louder, sometimes they just won't stop they always seem to be just be a dull headache then they start to grow more and more demanding" Techno said to his father sitting in his fathers office looking at his father wanting help

"I'm sorry this is all my fault" Philza said with grim look on his face, a face he'd carried throughout all of the eons he'd been alive

"What do you mean?"Techno said inquisitively

"there is something I never told you, only your mother and Bad know" he said starting to tremble

"Ok?" Techno said with his arms crossed waiting for the answer

"Techno I- I'm a god" he said waiting for his son to be shocked but he wasn't

"Father" he paused "the voices told me a long time ago, I never really believed them, but the night you found me in my room you said you made a god mad" he paused "that was all I needed to be sure"

Philza looked at his son shocked "well I guess I should tell you who's pissed at me"

"Yeah, angel of death, I suppose you should" Techno said stone faced

Philza just sighed when he heard his son call him that "look Technoblade I've done a lot of things in my life, things I'm not proud of, things I never wished to tell you" he stuttered

Philza paused "I made an alliance with another god, the god of life, he taught me things that I would've never known otherwise, he was kind" he paused "I never thought he would betray me" Phil said quietly

"But he did, he knew my power and was afraid of what I could do to him, he rounded up his other friends and he cast me out of his kingdom, his kingdom of destruction"

Philza stopped mid sentence pondering his past life that he'd tried to forget for so long

"He cast me out so I made my own kingdom, my kingdom grew and he didn't want me prospering, so he proposed a deal
If I would give my kingdom to him, he would never ask me for anything again and leave me alone for the rest of eternity" he stopped

"But you didn't take it did you" Techno said calmly

"No I didn't, I had just met your mother and the deal was, he would take the kingdom and everyone in it, but I couldn't do it, I love your mother and my people, I knew what he would do if I took the deal, so he cursed my eldest child, he cursed them with the voices of past gods and made that child a god, a blood god" Philza ended his story and looked up expecting his son to be furious but he wasn't, he just stared blankly down at the floor

"Past gods? I thought gods were immortal?" Techno said, blood for the blood god the voices chanted

"We are immortal to an extent, we can only be killed if we want to be- to an extent- it's sort of complicated " he said somberly

"So what does this mean for me?" Techno said in a emotionless voice

"It it - means your immortal, pretty much invincible" Philza said solemnly

"Doesn't sound so bad" Techno shrugged

"So simple minded" Philza shook his head

"Simple minded huh, well what's so bad about being immortal" Techno said

"Techno, I've lived a million different lives, I've wished to die a million times, but couldn't let myself be killed for fear of what the life god would do once I was gone, the only thing that scares me now is losing my children, I will outlive my children" Philza said leaning over in his chair grasping his hands together
