Stand up, get dressed, shower, brush her teeth, eat breakfast, out the door, the same as every day prior and the same as all of the upcoming days will be. Hope could only think about him, he was all that was in her head. The bumps of the road under her body were oddly comforting, like a baby being rocked to sleep in a carrier, this was simply more jolting, however it held the same general principal. Mornings were always a blur for Hope, the exhaustion of the previous day mixed with dread for the hours to come made a sleepy-time tea for her mind. Bus rides were something that always felt so much longer than it was. Thoughts raced by, multiple power naps, but still 20 minutes to go. She wondered where he was. What time did The Kool-Aid man's bus pick him up, to be quite frank, she had no clue where he even lived, did he even take the bus? What were his mornings like? Did he stay up late reading his children's books or did he go to bed early for the health benefits? Was he capable to reaping the health benefits? Was he the jug or juice, both? Did he sleep standing up as to not spill? Did he sleep?

The tires squealed along  the pavement as the bus slowed to a stop. She stood up, waiting for a break in the people to move into the isle and leave the vehicle. A slow realization washed over her, that whole time on the bus, since she got up, she was solely thinking of him. She figured she had to tell her friends, well it was either that or she held it and and simply hoped for it to go away, but knowing her, that would be difficult or just wouldn't happen, so, that was her decision made, she would tell them, honestly what was he worst they could say. It wouldn't be their place to say and she knew them all to be kindhearted people. People who wouldn't try to butt in on something like her maybe, hopefully, future relationship with The Kool-Aid Man just because they don't love it.

Hope enters the school and sees her friends waiting for her next to the vending machines. The machines were always empty and her friend were always there, two of the things she could always count on. She entered the group, they were still waiting for Conner bit he was always late so they decided to get going and find Conner later. The group walks down the hall, Hope is shaking with fear, she doesn't know what they will say, she didn't know how- no. She would not let herself overthink this, she just had to say it
"I like the Kool-Aid man" she blurted out, there was a silence, she stared forward, maybe if she didn't look at them they couldn't respond. That wasn't true, and she knew this, although, for a moment it seemed as if it were

"you what...", Ryan asked in a snarky tone

" please don't tell me you feel bad for him" Micah added, Hope looked at Ren, who was to awkward in this moment to blink,

"No, he's just...cute, you know?" stated Hope, trying to make this somehow go over well.

"Actually I don't, Hope." retaliated Micah in a monotone voice, resembling that of a heartbroken widow at her husbands funeral. "I cant do this, not if you like HIM" Micah continued. "besties off".
