Lilian was walking through the forest. She was making her way back to her shack, to cook the rabbit she just captured and killed. She lived by herself; in a small house she had made from scratch. Both of her mothers were dead. After both of her parents died, her home was taken away from her and she was sent to childcare. She managed to escape and ran into the forest, where no one would go searching for her. She took care of herself in the wilderness from then on. Ever since her mother and mum's death, she'd hidden alone and away from the government of Russia.

She was packing for Hogwarts, in her scratched little suitcase. It was tearing and she'd tried to patch it up, but it had become even more messy. She didn't know much about Hogwarts; only the things her mum had told her before she perished. She only knew that Gryffindor was the only good house, and that she could not be in any of the others. That was all her mothers had told her, and she knew she needed to be in Gryffindor, whatever that was.

After she finished eating her rabbit and packing her suitcase, she went outside to find a wild horse. She had a saddle, and now all she needed was a horse to get to King's Cross the next day.

She was searching for a while until she heard a faint neigh. She followed the sound and saw a beautiful black horse the color of charcoal. She put the makeshift leather saddle on the horse and rode it back to her shack that was falling apart. She tied the horse up, and went to bed, dreading the day to come.
