Zoey and Grace went up to their dorm, to go to sleep. Zoey was happy she was sharing with Grace; it would only be for one night though. They were both very tired, so they went straight to bed.
In the morning, they got dressed at went downstairs to the Great Hall for breakfast. Mail was coming in from all windows. Zoey saw her mother's owl fly towards her. She gulped. It wasn't a howler, but definitely an angry letter. She opened it and it read:
Dear Zoey,
I am so disappointed in you! You should've been Hufflepuff! I already got you tickets to France. Pack your things and go to Minerva's office. She will help you from then.
Very Disappointed,
Mum
Zoey went straight to her dorm and packed her things. She shoved her stupid Ravenclaw robes into the bottom of her trunk. She latched it and took it and her mouse to Professor Minerva McGonagall's office. She couldn't believe that she was heading to France. She would be put it a baby blue and be terribly sad. She was hardly fluent in French. She knew how to say what her name was and a few other things.
She walked to Minerva's office. Surprisingly the headmistress was already there waiting for her. She held a bright red piece of parchment with Zoey's mother's name signed elegantly on the bottom.
McGonagall said, "Zoey Shield, your mother thinks you will do better at Beauxbatons. I would prefer to have another student here, but your mother makes the calls. Here is your ticket. Miss Luna Lovegood will bring you to the station and be sure that you get there safely."
Zoey didn't know what to say. She just looked at the bleached hair of Miss Lovegood. She was a hero from Harry's perspective. She was spectacular. But she was helping Zoey's mum send her to France.
She took her to the station, and they stayed with her until her train was about to leave. That is when she got off the train and was sure that Zoey wouldn't follow her. Her head told her: FOLLOW HER! FOLLOW HER! FOLLOW HER! Then the most unreal words ever: YOU ARE MEANT TO BE A RAVENCLAW! That wasn't true. She ignored her brain and sat on the train to Kings Cross Station.
When Zoey got home from Kings Cross, she was greeted by her angry mother.
"I am so disappointed in you Zoey! You are going to Beauxbatons. Whether you like it or not. Go up to your room and pack your things for Beauxbatons. You leave tomorrow."
Zoey obeyed. She went up to her room and started unpacking her Hogwarts things. As she almost emptied her trunk, her father came in.
He saw her blue and black robes with the Ravenclaw crest. "Zoey, you know your mother is just too prideful. She believes that you are only good enough for Hufflepuff. You belong in Ravenclaw, your mum shouldn't tell you otherwise." He picked up her rumpled robe.
"Dad, now there is nothing I can do about it," Zoey cried.
"Yes, there is darling," her father said. "You can get expelled. I am not saying that would be good, but once you get that uniform put it in the bottom of your trunk and wear your Ravenclaw robes."
"Dad, be sensible, that will make me look like a complete idiot!" Zoey tried to reason. She couldn't be embarrassed again.
"Not if you hold your head up high," her father said. That was his last word. Zoey put her books that she would need for Beauxbatons in her trunk.
