Hogwarts Fanfiction: The Beginning

CHAPTER FIFTY FIVE

Penelope was sitting in the Great Hall, in between Nora and Addie picking at her food. She was waiting for Grace and Zoey to be back from the hospital wing. As if on cue, Grace and Zoey came through the doors searching for Penelope and the others. Grace and Zoey spotted them and ran up to hug them all. Zoey had a cast on her right arm and there were scratches on her legs. Grace seemed fine, she just had a scar across her face and a band-aid on her knee.

Grace sat down next to Nora and Zoey sat next to Addie. Professor McGonagall then came to the podium at the front of the Great Hall. "Good afternoon students! As you know, we are about to announce the house that wins the cup." There was a cheer from the students below. "In fourth place, Hufflepuff, with 235 points." There was a small applause. "In third place, Ravenclaw, with 420 points." There was a small applause once again. "In second place, Slytherin, with 595 points." There was a larger applause. "And in first place, Gryffindor, with 615 points!" There was a huge applause, coming mostly from the Gryffindor table.

Snape then went up to Professor McGonagall and whispered something in her ear. She gasped dramatically. "Really?" Snape nodded. "Okay then" she said. "There are some final points to be added."

There was a murmur from the crowd of students.

"To Ms. Penelope Ling, 50 points to Ravenclaw, for being brave as a Gryffindor and helping her friends, even when putting her own life in danger."

There was an applause from the Ravenclaw table. Penelope blushed with embarrassment.

"To Ms. Nora Bennett, 50 points to Ravenclaw, for staying with her friends in times of trouble."

There was another applause from the Ravenclaw table. They now had 520 points.

"To Ms. Adelaide Strange, 50 points to Ravenclaw, for coming up with creative ideas to help people"

There was another big applause from the Ravenclaw table, and Addie was enjoying her fame.

"To Ms. Grace Goodwin, 50 points to Ravenclaw, for staying strong and looking out for people in times of trouble.

There was a roar of applause from the Ravenclaw table once again, they had 620 points, they were ahead of Gryffindor!

"And lastly, to Ms. Zoey Shield, 50 points to Ravenclaw, for coming up with clever ideas when in times of trouble and staying with her friends no matter what."

There was a huge applause from the Ravenclaw table, and Penelope could see Lilian at the Slytherin table smiling and clapping for them.

"I think there is a new winner of the house cup." McGonagall said, "First place goes to Ravenclaw, with 670 points!"

There was a huge applause from the crowd and celebration at the Ravenclaw table.

Penelope, Grace, Zoey, Nora, Lily, and Addie were all waiting outside of Hogwarts to head home. They were all very tired and they were not looking forward for detention at the beginning of next year, with the exception of Lily. They did know that there would be many different variations of the story of the year they had all just experienced. They all boarded the Hogwarts Express with their luggage and pets, on their way back home.
