Tokyo Revengers manga spoilers are ahead.

The sky was dark as the night settled on Tokyo. The stars were outshined by the bright lights of the city, making the celestial vault a plain and abyssal dark canva. Despite the hubbub of the capital of the country of the rising sun, some of the streets were deadly silent. Some of the streets were empty, voided of any joy and smile. These were the not so reputable places, the lairs of violence, the hiding place of the delinquents. People feared those places though, it was heaven for the rascals. Those places were home for people like you.

You were sitting inside an empty old shop. It was abandoned and unused for years. You could still see some little motorbike pieces laying on the floor. It reminded you of so many things. Of the moments you would watch Shinichiro working on bikes, of the moment you would listen to the seniors' old story, of the moment you would sit a bit away with Inupi, just smiling as you both admired the founders of the Black Dragons talking as if time hadn't flown by at all. Those were the could old days. Those were the time everything was still so perfect and full of joy.

You let out a long sigh as you pressed your forehead on your forearms that were already resting on your knees. When did things go down so fast? When did things become so bad? You ignored it for a long time but you knew the answer. It all changed during the 8th generation. The Black Dragons changed and started moving like a criminal organization. And now with Taiju, it was not better. You had hoped to rebuild the gang after Toman had defeated the 9th generation. You had believed it was the best opportunity to bring back the first-gen spirit. But things dId not go as planned at all. It was actually worse. Making Taiju the 10th generation leader only brought back the worse in the gang. The 10th generation was the worse.

You clenched just at the thought. But you could only blame yourself as you let it happen. You were not convinced by Taiju. You should have voiced your concern to Inupi. But you kept quiet, not trusting yourself enough. You let things happen and now the Black Dragons were in conflict with Toman again.

The sound of a door opening brought you out of your contemplation. You looked up oçnly to see a blond boy with a burn scar over his eye enter the old bike shop. You stood up, watching him walking over to you, his uniform swinging at each step taken. Your heart tightened as your eyes met his. His expressionless irises. He was stoic, showing no emotion at all. He was so cold, sinister, ominous. You felt such an enormous rift between you too. The person he was now was clashing with the memory of the sweet boy you once knew.

"Why did you want to see me?" he bluntly asked, hating beating around the bush.

You looked at him for a moment, staying quiet. You had been thinking a lot lately. Since Taiju had beaten up the First Division Captain of Toman, probably triggering a new war with Toman, you had been more and more reluctant of his behavior. Since you saw how Taiju hit his own sister. Since you saw how he treated his own little brother. In fact, this had only been the last straw for you. You had never been comfortable with Taiju's way of ruling. Despite ascending the gang at the highest again in the past of one year, you were not condoning his views or his behavior. He was just a tyrannical dictator, behaving like a king and doing whatever he wanted to do with the help of violence. That was not was the real Black Dragon was about.
