You tied a baby blue apron around yourself and readjusted the cap of the same color on your head. It was midday when you arrived at the café that you owned. You had always loved baking and making drinks. It all started by watching videos on the internet, then making drinks and pastries for your family, and the next thing you knew, you were studying cooking. You recently opened your own café. It had been a few months but for a new shop, it was fairly new.

You had been quite stressed for the first few weeks as you did not know if it would be a success. You were new in the neighborhood and knew no one. You were afraid no one would come. But it ended up alright. People were not pushing each other to have a drink at your shop but it was still quite a success. From what you understood from your clients, there was not a lot of shop in the neighborhood. So having a café was new and refreshing. So people of different ages would crash by to just chat with each other or work on their laptops.

You were at the counter, cleaning it with a cloth. Many different types of pastries and salt food were displayed; pies, small pizzas, sandwiches, cupcakes, and many others. Today was a calm day in this cozy and warm place. The sun was shining a golden hue on the white brick wall and paintings hung on them. Fake green ivy was creeping on the wall as pots of plants were displayed here and there, contrasting with the witness of the walls. Just at the corner window was a place made for reading. Under the window were a light cream padded bench and a few cushions seat here and there on a carpet. Bookshelves and plants were delimitating the place. The atmosphere was very peaceful and relaxing. You had thought a lot about the decoration. You wanted something simple and calm so people could relax after a long day of work. You wanted your cafe to be a safe place for people to find refuge or to distance them from the harsh world. You wanted your cafe to be a place full of good energy and happiness. You wanted your cafe to be a place where people would come when they were bored or didn't want to go home.

You stopped cleaning the counter when you heard the sound soft chiming of the front doorbells. You looked up and force yourself not to smile too widely. You tugged the chiffon in the pocket of your apron and walked over to the cash register. You watched the black-haired man with an undercut, looking at his phone, making his way to you. His hair was beautifully styled, the darkness of his hair clashing with the blue of his eyes. His left ear was garnished with an earring. He was dressed in a white shirt with a red tie and black pants. It was simple though he wore it very elegantly.

He eventually looked up from his phone, shoving it in his pocket, and smiled at you. You had to stop your smile to grow bigger as your heart missed a beat.

"Hi, how are you?" he politely greeted.

"Amazing! What about you? Is the pet shop doing good?" you asked. His smile grew bigger. He was flustered to see that you remembered what he told you the last time he came. Or maybe it was just that he really loved talking about pets.
