You sat on the chair outside in the corridor, your dangling. You ate the dorayaki Uncle Mikey gave you before leaving as you waited patiently for your turn to come. Truth to be told, you were quite nervous. It was the day of the parent-teacher conference. You were not worried about your grade, in fact, you were pretty confident with it. Uncle Takeomi often helped you study and Uncle Koko was a very good help when it comes to mathematics. What you were nervous about was the comment that would be made about your quiet and introverted self. You did not have many friends in school, actually, you had none. You always stayed by yourself, too scared to bother others but also very contented with your own company. You did not mind solitude and you did not feel lonely. But in a world that pushes to be constantly sociable, you had to admit, you struggled a bit. And it worried your teacher to see you so isolated and alone, though again, you did not particularly mind.
"Hey, don't have to be so nervous," you heard as you felt a hand patting your head.
You looked up to your side to see your after smiling down at you. His hair was so beautifully styled, as usual. He looked so elegant with his suit which closed with his scar. It gave him a more intimidating look.
"But what if I don't pass to the next class because I have no friends?" you asked, worried. But your dad only slightly chuckled as he placed you on his laps.
"They can't stop it for such a silly thing," he said, whipping away the crumbs of dorayaki from your cheek. "If they do, though, they'll hear from me,"
"You're going to fight them?" you asked, innocently as you eat the last bit of your dorayaki.
"Huh?"
"It's your work, right?" you asked. "You and Uncle Mikey work in the police or something? You have guns just like in the movies,"
Kakucho blinked a moment at you, quite speechless. He then let out a nervous chuckle, saying that you were right. Though, he was actually quite worried. When did you see him with a gun? Every time you asked him about his field of work, he always told you he was working for Mickey. Never he had ever mentioned what he was really doing. And he was careful not to let his weapons everywhere in the house for you to find. So when did you see him with a gun?
But his thought came to a stop as the door of the classroom opened. A mother and her son stepped out of the classroom, conversing with the teacher. He was quite tall, dressed in a suit. His black hair was flawlessly falling to his shoulders as half of his hair was tied in a man bun. His skin was fair and creamy, his eyes soft and sparkling. Kakucho found himself smirking, looking up and down at the teacher.
His observation came to an end when he felt his son standing up from his lap. When the mother and son left, the teacher looked over to you and Kakucho. For a moment, the teacher started at your father, his eyes trailing along his long scar then detailing his face. It obviously did not go noticed by the third of the Bonten gang.
