“Dalia don’t you dare say anything about him again.” My voice was stern and hard.
“Whoa there I was just playing! I understand you’re into Chad. Sorry.” Dalia looked like I hurt her feelings.
“No I’m not trying to yell at you but he’s not a good guy. I know him.” I wasn’t about to tell her the whole story. I really didn’t want to relive that.
“Okay way to keep secrets from me,” Dalia stormed off.
I groaned and set my cup down. My fingers ran through my hair, trying to calm myself. Brennan wasn’t going to try anything. He learned his lesson…I hope.
Fooling me, Brennan strut over to me. I sighed heavily and tried to keep my gaze down. Maybe he was heading to another girl.
“Where’s Reale, Aubrey?” His skin felt hot against my neck. It was gross and completely unpleasant.
I jerked my body away as quick as I could. I was disgusted he would even come near me again.
“Here’s in the other room,” I lied.
“How come I haven’t seen him yet?” Brennan smirked.
“Uh, ‘cause he went to take a phone call. He’s outside,” my lying skills really needed work.
“Oh no. He isn’t here is he?” A nasty smile played on his lips.
“Brennan leave me alone. Chad’s going to kick your ass when he gets back!” I almost yelled.
“Whoa there girl. Calm down,” he stepped closer, “We should really be friends.”
“No thank you. I’ve got plenty of friends.”
I prayed he would leave me alone. I just wanted to have a good night with my friend. I needed to have a good night with my friend. I was in no mood to deal with Brennan.
“Aubrey c’mon. Chad’s out of town and I know that. He’s in Colorado with Kayden, Tyler, Mallory, Allison, and Jacklyn.”
“H-how do you know that?” my voice stuttered.
“Twitter, Aubrey. Twitter. I’m not a creep.” He looked slightly offended.
“Sorry,” I mumbled.
“It’s fine, baby,” Brennan pushed his arms behind my back.
I instantly squirmed at his touched. Pulling me into his body, I whimpered as my head crushed right into his chest.
“Ouch, what the hell!”
“Sorry. A little too hard. My bad,” Brennan almost laughed.
“It’s not funny,” I mumbled to him.
I gave up on trying to release his grip. I’m used to this now. He was too strong for me to fight him off my body.
Brennan lowered his lips down to my mouth. Without thinking I jerked my head back and his lips butted right into my chin.
“Damn Aubrey! You’re a struggle. How the hell does Chad put up with you?”
“I’m sure it’s not with ease,” I hissed through my teeth.
“You’re cute when you’re pissed. I’m actually really turned on right now. Kiss me,” he lowered his voice so the people around us couldn’t hear.
Brennan took one hand and wrapped it around the back of my neck. I guess he was trying to make sure I wouldn’t move again. Brennan dropped his lips to my neck and began to suck.
It was furthest thing away from feeling appealing. I tried to push his body off me but his whole weight was on me, crushing me.
“Someone help me!” I screamed out to anyone.
Brennan released his lips from my skin, “Shut up.”
I only screamed more, “Someone help me!!”
To my shock, Brennan’s body was slowly pried away from mine. Two boys pushed him back.
“What the hell man? She obviously doesn’t want the D. Leave her alone!” one of the boys called laughing.
“Yeah whatever. Aubrey, you’re a skanky little bitch!” Brennan called over his shoulder as he stormed off into the sea of teens.
“Th-th-thank you.” I smiled at the two boys.
One was dressed in a purple v-neck, black skinny jeans, and black sneakers. He had messy black hair.
He flipped it and smiled back at me, “You’re welcome.”
The other boy had a very similar look to him. A white v-neck hugged his torso but it was covered in a leather jacket. This boy had light brown hair that was pushed back in a cute way. He followed his friend’s lead and smiled at me.
Exchanging smiles at each other the boys both turned back to me.
“I’m Colton,” the boy in the purple smiled, “and this is my brother, Carter.”
Carter smiled and reached out his hand.
“Nice to meet you.” I accepted it and smiled, “You too, Colton.”
Carter and Colton stood awkwardly with their hands in their back pockets.
“I’m Aubrey by the way,” I smiled.
“Nice to meet you Aubrey,” Carter and Colton said at the same time.
All three of us erupted into giggles.
“So Carter, go talk to that one girl you were talking to earlier. I call dibs on her” Colton winked in my direction as he patted Carter on the back.
Smiling, I ran a nervous hand through my hair. Talking to boys gave me anxiety. Turning down boys was even harder.
“You here all by yourself?” Colton asked coming closer to me.
“No, I’m actually here with my best friend. She’s somewhere dancing.” I experienced a rush of pain, remembering she was mad at me.
“Aubrey!!!” Dalia cheered out from somewhere.
Colton and I both jerked our heads up. Dalia was pushing her way towards us, with Carter in tow.
Carter and Dalia made their way past the group of kids with laughter spilling out of their mouths.
“Aubrey we’re going to go back to Carter and Colton’s house okay?” Dalia looked at me with pleading look.
Colton looked at me too. His eyes had begun to crystallize and shine. They were a gorgeous blue color, like the ocean.I felt bad but I really couldn’t do that to Chad.
“Guys, I’m sorry but I,” everybody’s face fell and I just couldn’t help it. “I’m sorry but Dalia and I are going to need a ride.”
As soon as I agreed I regretted it.
