C6.| No Other Heart

The day has come, Malaya was dreading the past few days. Wishing time could stop or being able to time travel a few days later the date. But she doesn't hold those powers, only leading to her arrival at the location sent by Vaani.

Canceling was in mind, however, she did a favor for Malaya. Helping her through Jaemin's intoxicated state along with driving her to her apartment.  She showed kindness, one that was not in need of therefore the thing she could do is return it back.

Reaching to the building it had a tropical vibe as light bulbs hanging onto the ceiling along with flowers and plants decorating the scenery nicely. The umbrellas placed in the middle of the tables covering the hot heat so that people can sit outside. A nice brunch spot, one Malaya hasn't been one to. Which is surprising since her boss is thee Ren Arison. Prioritizing good places to hold meetings for the sake of his associates comfort. 

Malaya enters, giving Vaani's name to the hostess and leads her towards the woman herself. Vaani was a sight to look at. A long sundress and her curls tied up into a half up and half down hairstyle. Her sun kissed honey like skin glistening attributed to the sun. Wow... She's so pretty.

"Hi." Malaya says timidly. It goes unnoticed how she hesitates to take a seat; however she does, although with a slight discomfort.

Vaani takes notices how overwhelmingly Malaya gets attending social gatherings other than work. She wonders how the strong woman is so diligent towards her work but so soft to outings. Something Vaani would love Malaya to overcome with her.

"Hi. Do you like the place?"

"Yes, it's very nice and uh new."

"I would hope so." Vaani smiles and so does Malaya, seems like the Alpha is in a joking manner this evening.

"Order anything you want," Vaani slides the menu towards Malaya. The varieties of different types of food was something to look forward to, as Malaya skims through the list of food she's found something that her stomach was calling out to.

Malaya was embarrassed, Vaani could only laugh at Malaya's expression. Burying her head deep into the menu, hiding herself from the teasing Alpha. So cute...

"Don't worry, I'll call the waiter and put a word in to be served quickly as possible."

"Please stop..."

Vaani chuckles while holding her hand up to call the waiter indicating she was ready to order. After ordering each meal Vaani couldn't help stare at the beauty in front of her. Malaya's rosy cheeks and her tender eyes really struck Vaani's heart. Something she never thought would happen so fast.

Once her mother died she had no interest in such a thing as love or anything in particular as she lost something so precious which really hurt her. Vaani didn't want to experiment with anything like that again. She referred into different methods to help her. Sleeping around and alcohol were the main ones as it helped her distract herself from any self harm and past memories. In a way Vaani thinks it is something that helps her but in reality it's only longing for something else.

Malaya helped her realize that, as the mere sight of her presence really affects her in ways that her heart starts to beat erratically. It doesn't take much for Vaani to realize that she may love this woman. Love of first sight, something not uncommon as fated pairs exist. Though people didn't dwell on searching for their pair as it would be a rare occurrence.

Although Vaani didn't show much interest when they first met. She couldn't deny that Malaya wasn't attractive. In fact she was the most attractive woman Vaani had seen; than any other Omega. Except her mother, of course. 

Now that Malaya is sitting in front of her, she really wants to take her home... Doing the unthinkable.

Their food arrived interrupting Vaani's fantasies as the aroma was intoxicating; Malaya could only moan at the mouthwater plate in front of her. Wasting no time, she dug in stuffing her mouth with different types of flavors. Vaani couldn't help but compare Malaya to an eager hamster shoving nuts into their mouths. The Dominant Alpha could only chuckle as she was also stuffing her mouth with food but with a moderate pace.

"Have you ever loved someone?"

The sudden question threw Malaya off guard, pausing her chewing while curious at the sudden question.

"Uh...why so sudden?" Vaani couldn't help it as she wanted to know more about Malaya's love life as she wants to pursue Malaya in the future. Wanting to take note of what not to do to upset the Alpha nor lose her chance with the woman.

"Sorry didn't mean to come off as intrusive. I just want to know more about you."

"It's fine."

"No need to talk about it if it's a difficult subject." As Vaani can see how uncomfortable the sudden question made Malaya avoid eye contact, she didn't want to spoil the mood.

"No, No... But uh yeah I have..."

"Oh. What happened?"

There was a quiet pause as Malaya hesitated discussing a topic she would rather leave past her. Though Vaani's appearance was comforting as in telling her it was ok to talk about whether she was comfortable. Malaya grew fond in the last few minutes with the Dominant Alpha; a warm and calming aura surrounding the gorgeous woman.

"Uh... it was my junior year...fell in love with her but I was just a mere toy. Now looking back I was delusional to think she could fall in love with me. But she treated me with care, that I thought I was the only one for her. She thought differently however, she just wanted to sleep with me as I was on her Alpha list to seduce..."

"That day I stayed after school and found her with another Alpha. Turns out he was one of her victims and her heat suddenly came leaving all rationality in an Alpha's mind. The sight was horrible, her intoxicated pheromones didn't make it any better as I craved for her. I hated her. How she manipulated me into thinking that I was something special to her. Though she didn't give up, to one point she tried to seduce me with her pheromones as she was still in heat. It was disgusting. Later on, she lost interest but it still hurt when I saw her walking through the hallways as well as preying on others. To the point I kept a safe distance between Omegas."

Vaani didn't know what to say. Appalled how Malaya's tragic love story ended and sufferance. Nonetheless experiencing something like that. Vaani wanted to comfort her. And she did, as she got up out of her seat and walked towards Malaya. Tightly hugging her head and waist. "H-hey what?!"

"I'm sorry."

"F-for what you didn't do anything."

"Still I'm sorry you experienced something like that. I wish she dies in hell." Fucking bitch.

"That's a bit gruesome. It's in the past anyways."

"That doesn't make up what she did to you." Vaani shifts from her original position; placing her hand on Malaya's cheek, caressing the rosy pigment.

"Don't worry I'm here now..." Malaya didn't understand what that meant but she appreciate Vaani's sympathy.

Don't worry.. no other heart but mine...
