After Vaani left Malaya in her bedroom with her excessive thoughts; Malaya decided it was enough. The Alpha got up and prepared herself for work.
She strolled down to the bathroom for a quick shower and her personal hygiene routine. Though she didn't have her own products, Vaani's products were just fine. They were placed under the cabinet, she grabbed the ones needed to precede her routine.
Once she looked at herself in the mirror just to see the horror stuck on her skin, Malaya gasped. It looked like she had some skin diseases along with some nasty bite marks.
What the hell. What have you done? Malaya thought.
Finished, she picked up the scattered clothes on the floor that Vaani hastily took off last night. Last night... Malaya still couldn't get over it. She had sex with Vaani... She had sex with her boss's sister for goodness sake. Who would've thought.
Enough about her! I need to get to work. She sighed. That Alpha took up way too much space in her head. The older Alpha took some clothes a tad bit bigger on her but it worked well covering up the hickies and bite marks.
Malaya descended down the stairs, heading towards the kitchen, leaving the empty breakfast the two Alphas shared. She washed the dinnerware, placing them to dry on a drying rack. She might have looked like a housewife in Vaani's eyes but she was always taught to clean after yourself.
And it's the least she can do. Vaani served her breakfast so Malaya should pay her back by helping her with the dishes. Though Vaani would've differed the payment.
The Alpha headed to the front door; closing it and locking it only to resonate a click that echoed throughout the house. As that was the last of the two Alphas. Well until the wedding.
Few days later
Malaya groaned as she layed on her couch as she was watching a show but paid no mind towards the tv. She was preoccupied with another device she stared blankly at. Malaya was waiting for a call, a text, or even an email, but she hadn't received anything.
She promised. The Alpha thought with a frowned expression clung onto her face. When Vaani left that morning that was the last she had spoken to the Alpha. She was promised to keep in touch with her yet she hadn't received anything from her.
Did they take her phone as a precaution from any spoilers? That doesn't excuse it, she could've texted me when she arrived or at the hotel. She thought, once again finding herself groaning. Why would Vaani make such a promise but hasn't yet received it.
Malaya felt a sick pain into her stomach . The past few days felt as if nothing happened between the two. With no contact with Vaani she suddenly felt empty. Vaani was always in her mind, whether the good or bad. She has consumed Vaani as a daily dose now it's as if it is nothing.
Malaya threw her phone as it was of no use to her. She focused on the tv show that is broadcasting.
"You went on a business trip for a few days, ignored me and left me in the dark. Just to come back with some chick you were fucking the whole time on that 'business trip'." The protagonist yelled at her significant other.
"Get over it. You never loved me you just love the sex we shared." The husband exclaimed while massaging his temples.
"What? I loved you. Do you not know that I've been waiting for that call for the past few days only to receive nothing. I felt like shit now you come back with this bullshit?" The protagonist cried. Slamming their fist into the protagonist's husband's chest with all her might.
"You know what, fuck you. Leave, I never want to see you again." The protagonist declared while wiping their tears off their face.
The protagonist's husband left the room leaving the protagonist to sob hysterically. The shot zoomed out to reveal the protagonist sobbing on the floor. Clenching their shirt from the horrific pain their heart suffered. A somber tune played as the screen faded to black with a 'to be continued'.
Wow that was intense. What an asshole. Wait, was that happening right now? Is that what's going on? No. She said she liked me and only me. Right? No way is that-
The sound of a notification interrupted her before Malaya could finish. She quickly moved to find her phone before the call ended. Unfortunately she threw her phone that landed in between the couch cushions. Malaya desperately searched until she had it into her hands.
"Hello." She answered with heavy breathing that could be heard through the phone. Causing the other to question worryingly.
"Hey, are you ok?" The person on the other phone replies. However, their voice was far too way off to be Vaani's. Malaya looked at her phone to see who was calling. The contact read: Saria; her college friend.
She frowned expecting it to be Vaani. "Yeah I'm fine. What's going on, are you ok?"
"I'm ok. Don't tell me you already forgot." Saria chuckles.
"I'm sorry. Uh, what did I forget?" Malaya embarrassingly questioned.
"I'm back in town. Are you sure you are okay? Last time I remembered Malaya Saint wasn't this forgetful. Though I guess people change these past years."
"Yeah sorry, I've just been all over the place lately. So I'm a bit off."
"Mm, I can see.. Is it because of the scandal?" Saria questioned.
"Uh, that's partially it. I think I just need some sleep." She lied. She couldn't admit to her college friend that she was in distress over a girl. This was Malaya Saint, a diligent workaholic that had no time for romance. Or so Malaya thought; as she clearly does when it comes to Vaani Arison.
"Oh well I'll leave it to you. We can go out some other time." Saria reasoned out.
"No! I'm fine. We can still hang out. Let's meet up and do some shopping. It will be a welcome back in town gift." Malaya pressed.
"Haha, alright. I'll see you then."
"Ok. I'll just get dressed and I'll send you a message." Malaya settles.
"Mkay bye."
"Bye." Malaya sighed. This is good for her, it will make her stop thinking about Vaani. Also some friend quality time isn't bad from time to time. The Alpha got well dressed showing her natrual beauty along with sending a message to her friend. A new attitude that overpowers the thoughts about the younger Alpha.
Who cares about Vaani Arison, she can suck my big toe for all I care. But once I see her she's dead.
