Smut Warning :)
Throughout the day Malaya couldn't focus on her work. The disturbance of spam calls, personal phone calls, and the constant staring from other colleagues.
Her elegant work ethic gone as she could only sigh from how much this was straining her. Malaya's mother didn't make it any better; she was first upset that Malaya didn't tell her she had a girlfriend, but once Malaya broke the news they weren't dating and they were only just accusation Vaani's fans made, she could only scold the people for making up rumors of her baby. And the audacity to call her baby not of beauty standard. "Tell those pests to look at themselves in the mirror before coming for my baby. Hm the absurdity people have these days."
While Jaemin and her college friend Saria were also upset from the lack of self conscious people have. "This is getting out of hand. People should move on already, it was taken down for a reason." Jaemin declared.
"This should pass, knowing Vaani." Saria states.
"Knowing Vaani? What's that supposed to mean?" Malaya questioned.
"Yeah I used to wor- I'm just a fan knowing her personality she will shut it down." Saria nervously responded.
"Mm, well I'll see you when you're back in town. Bye."
"Okay, bye."
Malaya quickly set her phone down only to receive another distraction: a message notification. After a few hours passed she finally received a message from Vaani stating her apology including to be forgiven while she treats her to a dinner. While a bit annoyed, Malaya had one question in mind and responded ok.
Now here they are at a fancy dimmed lighted restaurant with red paintings with wooden tables. Aside was a bar attached where most people sat, as the bartender performed shaking drinks and serving to the others. Malaya admired the performance and how determined the bartender seemed towards his work. Something that Malaya couldn't accomplish today.
"I have a question and I want you to answer truthfully." The cold hearted Alpha turned to face Vaani in the eye. Vaani gulped to sudden change in Malaya's eyes, the sweet and shy woman now gone only to replace a detached, emotionless person. Just last night they shared a heart-stopping kiss for the outcome seemed to be nothing.
"Alright." Vaani quietly respond.
"I understand that the rumors were out of your hands and may not be true but I couldn't help believing if they were true... so uh..."
"They aren't." Vaani interjected.
"I know well at the same time I don't! Everything just went by so fast. The morning we met asking to be your companion, the date, the kiss, and everything else! I can't help but be overwhelmed and believe such things."
"I'm sorry... I didn't know you felt that way."
"I don't expect you to, I just wanna know if.... You were just playing with me." She quietly whispers while keeping her head down, dejected.
"What?! What would make you say that?"
"I don't know... I just..."
Vaani could feel her heart break. Did she really make Malaya feel like that? Was the affection and the kiss they shared not enough to tell her that she likes her? Vaani never would've thought this scandal would strain Malaya with insecurities. It never did enough damage to second guess herself with the made up rumors people made up of her, so she thought everyone was the same. Why would you second doubt yourself?
