"(Y/N)," you heard the soft call of your name rouse you from your sleep, and felt a careful nudge to your shoulder, "wake up, we're here."
You let out a soft groan as you forced your eyes to slowly flutter open, glancing out the window to see the flashing LED sign of the motel. You sat up so you were no longer leaning against the door, and rubbed your eyes to adjust your vision.
"'The Scarlet Rose Motel,' " you heard El speak up from the backseat, reading the name on the sign, "hey, kinda like you," she chuckled and nudged Scarlet's shoulder.
Scarlet gave an awkward laugh and a nod, "aha, yeah, guess so..." she hummed, before they both moved to exit the car.
"Sleep well, doll?" Michael chuckled, looking at your tired expression as you turned to face him, "I'm surprised you didn't start snoring."
"Shut up," you gave him a small glare, followed by a soft yawn, "damn... I didn't mean to fall asleep..."
"It's alright, I felt like I was about to pass out at any second," he chuckled, unbuckling his seatbelt as he turned the car off, "come on, let's head in."
You nodded, unbuckling your own seatbelt, before you both got out of the car and followed the group inside.
You entered the main lobby where the check-in desk was, and El and Scarlet were already starting to talk to the owner. She was an older lady, probably in her late fifties. She had thick glasses that made her eyes look small and beady, and her gray hair was done up in curlers. "How can I help you kids?" she asked in a scratchy, smoker's voice.
"Um, we'd like two rooms, please," Scarlet told her, glancing back at the group, "that way boys can have one room, and girls can have another."
"Oh, only two rooms?" The lady asked, adjusting her glasses as she examined your group, "sure is an awful lot of people for only two rooms. I must warn you, there's only one bed to a room."
"Aw, what?" Eli sucked his teeth in annoyance, "you tellin' me I gotta share a bed with these clowns?"
"Better get ready to spoon, big boy," Dom purred teasingly, poking Eli's back. Even Vincent wiggled his eyebrows with a smirk.
"Well," El chewed her bottom lip, tapping her fingers against the desk in thought, "I think we could afford one extra room."
"Then who gets that room?" Michael asked from beside you.
El looked at him as if he was a complete idiot, before snickering softly, "um... you and (Y/N), duh."
Your eyes shot wide open, feeling your heart drop into your stomach. "W-What?" You choked, "us?"
"What's the problem?" El shrugged, raising an eyebrow at your reaction, "you two are dating, so I thought you'd be cool sharing a room. Besides," a wide, mischievous smirk spread across her face, "I figured you two would want some alone time."
You felt like your entire body had been lit on fire as soon as those words left her mouth, and you exchanged a glance with Michael. You were relieved to see that he was just as embarrassed as you; pressing his lips into a thin line, his entire face burning bright red as he gave you a nervous look. So much for taking things slow, huh?
"Um, well... fine..." you sighed out in defeat, knowing that there was no getting out of this. And, truthfully, you did want to share a room with Michael. And you knew he did too, but neither of you would admit that in front of the whole group.
