(Esther's Point of View)

It's been a week. I can walk now. But I'm super wobblily. Rascal may be my mate, but he scares me. It's weird but I miss the chores, not the beatings.

I got up and wobbled to the dining room. I began picking up any trash I saw then, I heard a roar.

Were we being attacked?

Was it my old pack?

I heard running and more growls. I stood up and a young girl came in, her face wide in fear.

"Come with me, now."

She grabbed my arm and pulled me to the other side of the house and up the stairs. She took me back to the room i've been staying in to see Alpha Rascal destroying everything in sight.

He honestly scared me. I gasped at the site and he whipped around. Seeing me he grabbed me and pulled me into a bear hug.

"You no leave."

'I don't leave.'

He grumbled and swayed us back and forth.

He suddenly released me and scanned me up and down.

"Injured? Hurt?"

I shook my head no. But I don't think he believed me.

He grabbed my face with both hands and looked into my eyes.

"Tell me."

'I'm not injured Alpha.'

He let out a menacing growl that shook me to my core and he felt it.

"You do NOT call me ALPHA! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!"

I shook my head frantically. "SAY IT."

'I don't call you your title, I'm sorry.'

I tear slipped and he noticed. "No. Nononononono. Don't be scared. I'm sorry. I thought you left me. Don't leave me."

I nodded frantically. Just trying to escape the situation.

I saw his eyes getting lighter and his eyes were soft again. "I'm so sorry kitten. I didn't mean to yell at you." I nodded frantically. He sighed and hugged me. "I'm so sorry. I thought you left me."

Why would I leave though. He hasn't hurt me.

'What do I call you, if not by your title?'

He looked at me. "Rascal. Or Ras, honey, love, baby. Anything besides my title."

I nodded. 'Okay Rascal." He sighed and dropped to his knees. I kneeled on top of his knees. Like this he was still taller than me. "Esther. Don't leave me. I need to hear you say it. Please."

I took a breath and concentrated. Running the words in my head so I could get it right. He was searching my eyes frantically. I knew I was taking too long.

"I promise, Rascal."

He let out a breath he was holding.

Then he rested his head on my shoulder, and cried.
