(Esther's Point of View)

I was in my office and the next second, I'm running. I knew it was my Kitten who screamed. I broke down the door not knowing if it was locked or not.
Esther was in bed and I rushed to her. She layed her head back as I came to her. Her face scrunched up in what I believe to be nearly unbearable pain.
Tears were streaming to the sides of her eyes. I was at a loss.
"Esther. What's happening?" All she could mumble was pain. I went to the connected bathroom and got the emergency morphine shots. I went back to her and gave her the shot in the hip.
Something is wrong. She's in so much pain and I couldn't do anything.
I climbed in bed and held her. It's all I could do.
Soon she fell asleep.
All I could think was I hope my baby wakes up better.
