(Esther's Point of View)

Ras was holding me in bed when he had to get up to go to the bathroom.

He didn't have a shirt on, so I saw what I did.

The scratches.

I felt so bad.

He turned around and looked at me with concern.

"Esther?"

I looked at him confused.

"Esther I feel your hurt through my mark. What's wrong?"

I just shook my head and told him to go to the bathroom.

He knew he needed to go but hesitated,

"I'll be right back."

He closed the door and I sighed. My father may be dead, but he was right.

I don't deserve him.

He deserves better than me.

I deserve nothing but pain and torture.

I heard a growl from the bathroom.

The door busted open as a tear slipped from my eye.

"Esther, you stop thinking like that right now."

I looked up at him. He looked so hurt. He climbed into bed and held me.

"Esther. Don't think like that ever. That deadbeat was saying that to hurt you. I deserve you and you deserve me. We were literally made for each other. You deserve the world and I won't listen to anything that says otherwise. You deserve love. I love you so damn much Baby girl and you better believe it."

I began to cry hysterically. He just held me and played with my hair. Wiping my tears every so often.

I didn't deserve his gentleness, but he thinks I do.

I love him.

"Rascal?"

He looked at me with an eyebrow raised.

"Do you really mean it when you say that you love me?"

He gave me a squeeze and kissed the top of my head.

"More than you can imagine, Little One."

I smiled and he saw it.

"I love you too Rascal."
