A Few Weeks Later

Dynasty P.O.V

Sometimes I feel like all the walls are caving in on me. But then, I see Brooklyn's face. And I remember to breathe..

Seems like I've done more thinking in these past few weeks than I've done in the past few years. I guess part of the problem is, I keep trynna figure it all out.

You know, like how can I be happy without somebody else gettin' hurt?

I wondered how, if at all could I love Ronnie and stay with August? I know it's crazy, but I figured if I played my cards right it would all work itself out.

I brushed the imaging dust off my black skin tight romper-jumpsuit , double checking my appearance before making my entrance on the court.

Like a ritual, the sound of rowdy NBA fans and sportscasters greet my ears as the game approaches half time.

Caster#1: I don't know y'all, we're halfway in and it's not looking to good for the Brooklyn nets right now.

Caster #2: Yeah man, I never thought I'd say it but it seems to me like West is doing the bare minimum out there.

My ears perked at the comments that were being made about Ronnie.

Caster #3: Well the playoffs are quickly approaching and he's MVP! The man's under pressure!

Caster #2: Yeah well he's gonna have to do a lot better than what he's been doing if he wanna see the playoffs.

Damn. That's cold.

Caster #3: I got faith in West. Let's just pray for a miracle!

They all laughed.

Caster #1: uh oh! It looks like Ronald West's Lucky charm is in the building! Y'all know her, Ms. Drizzy Romiti, Brooklyn's finest female entrepreneur!

They acknowledged my presence as I attempted to take my seat in the "Wife's" section.

I noticed the unfamiliar face in the seat Ronnie gave to me.

"Say uh, who you wit?" I ask.

She starred me down, not saying a word.

I chuckle to myself already knowing where this was going.

"Drizzy girl, don't even worry about her. Just come up here with me." Chantel persuades me.

From day one, I never really liked mingling with the player's women. Ima just keep it a buck, these chicks ain't nothing but a bunch of washed up five minute feelings searching for a forever that they ain't never gonna get.

But Chantel, she cool people.

I quickly pull myself together and joined Chantel.

It was about twenty minutes into over time. The Brooklyn nets had managed to pick the game up with no help from Ronnie.
