My version of the story, Rain

Part 17 | Just another night

Abigail and Rain ate together inside the Tavern as Stella, Kane, and Ciara walked out and prepared the horses. Rain and Abigail were sitting next to each other, they were eating their food. They were really together again. As Rain was looking at her face he couldn't help it. "She's so pretty, and now I am finally back together with her." He remembered what happened to them all this time back as they escaped from the Undead. "I can't let this happen again." Rain thought to himself as he watched Abigail again and took notice of her horns.

"Abi, your horns... uh, how do they feel?" Rain asked.
"Wha- What kind of question is that Rain." She laughed.
"I am curious." Rain replied.
"Do... do you want to touch them?" Abigail asked as she blushed slightly.
"S-Sure." Rain said as he started to blush.

Abigail then turned to face Rain and lowered her head. Rain then started to touch her horns. It was really awkward for both. Rain touched them, they were smooth and had a nice feeling. Abigail started to blush and Rain also struggled with a red face. After a few seconds, he let go of Abigail's horns and she higher her head again.

(I know. I know, I did not choose to type this I made a poll and the Abigail simps voted for it.)

"So...Soo... So how did they feel?" Abigail said in a very un-confident voice.
"They felt very smooth actually. It was a nice feeling." Rain said.
"I-" Rain tried to say as the door bursts open with Stella in it.
"Hey, you two we're ready to head ou-... Wait a minute." Stella stopped as she noticed the two were blushing.
"Did you kiss?" Stella's eyes widened and she started to giggle again.
"No no it's not like that." Rain tried to say as Stella already stormed out again.
"Oh boy." Rain said as he turned back to Abigail.

The two finished up eating and walked outside.

"Ah, hello there." Kane greeted them.
"The horses are prepared and we are ready to move out." He added.
"Looks like you two had quite the time at the Tavern." Ciara said at the side.
"What's that supposed to mean." Abigail asked.
"Oh nothing. Nothing." Ciara said as she climbed her horse and prepared to ride off.

The others would move on their horses as well. They started riding away from the swamplands, their destination was the Frostborn Castle.

"So just to sum it up, we are going to the Frostborn HQ, re-stock and report to your Grandmaster and then we set out to find these End crystals, correct?" Ciara asked.
"That's the plan." Stella said.

As they traveled the lands they encountered a pigling outpost. As the horde was charging at them, the group charged at them as well, taking out Piglings left and right. Rain used his greatsword, Stella used her magic to take out piglings around her and Abigail swung the Ruby Thorn into piglings' heads around or. The group made it through unharmed and rode away. After some days they once again set up a camp for the night. Kane was cooking a meal, Ciara was sleeping on a blanket on the ground.

Abigail and Rain were sitting in front of a river not far from the camp talking about old times as well as just chatting about random things, they have done this a lot since they visited the Netherbane Tavern.

"Abi, what do you want to do once this is all over?" Rain asked her.
"I didn't think about it. I just want to have peace, stay at a place together with you." Abigail responded.
"Well, I guess we could do that at Dreadfort. I'd like to stay a part of the Frostborn actually." Rain said back to her.
"Why?" Abigail wondered.
"They are the ones responsible for my revival, if they wouldn't have been there I'd be dead by now and you probably still under the influence of the Nether. I owe them everything I have, my life, combat skills... and you." Rain replied.
"I see." Abigail said.
"Is that an issue for you?" Rain asked Abigail.
"No no. Not at all. I just want to be with you. No matter if it is at the Frostborn or anywhere else." Abigail responded.
"Awww." Rain said as he laid his hand around Abigail's shoulder and hugged her close to him.

"FOOD IS READY!" Kane shouted out.

Rain and Abigail got up and walked back to the camp, Stella and the others were already there.

"So we're now halfway through, we should be at our destination soon." Kane said.
"Can't wait to get back home." Rain said. As they were eating the soup Kane made.

After that the sun disappears, Stella, Kane, and Ciara laid down to sleep as Abigail and Rain had gone back to the place at the river.

"Rain, I have dreams or hallucinations." Abigail started to say. "In those dreams, Naeus the Nether King talks to me. He says I would join him once again. I try to ignore it but, they are stuck in my mind and I can't get them off of it." Abigail would say.
"Well, I can't help you get rid of these thoughts. I can only comfort you." Rain replied.
"I will be there for you, and should Naeus find a way to corrupt you once again, I will bring you back." Rain said to her.
"Let's hope it never comes to that." Abigail sad.

She then rested her head on Rain's shoulder and the two fell asleep together.
