two weeks later, nyx was still in the hospital, whole body hurting and chest feeling tight.

"i don't even know what's wrong with her, it's like she has some type of secret illness that hasn't been discovered!" nyx overheard her doctor to another fellow doctor.

"do you mind if i take a look at her?"

"go right ahead."

a middle-aged man walked into nyx's room, gray hair peaking through his black hair. "hi there, ms. reynolds, i'm dr. piro."

"hi."

"do you mind if i run a test on you?"

"nope, go right ahead."

nyx missed her hand being held by rue, though she was at the store, and nyx was stuck here.

after the testing, the results came back the same they always have - nothing. not a trace of anything.

she got to finally rest with ease after the testing, and only if she knew that would be the last time she opened her eyes to anything.
