It was a Saturday. Arjun woke up to find Rakshan not beside him. It was 7 am in the morning. He got up and went outside hearing a commotion.
He stood by the railing of the first floor and saw all the house members rushing here and there doing different things. He was literally confused. All of them were well dressed. The house was decorated. He didnt know what was happening as he slept quite early the previous day. He spotted Rakshan hanging some flowers in the pillar along with Kumar and Shaalni. He was saying some lame joke and Kumar periyappa hit him giggling. Readers might wonder how come those grumpy periyappas be friendly with Rakshan. 'Well thats the magic of Rakshan'. Even little Tara was helping ammu with tying the yellow and orange chrysanthemum flowers.
Thats when he saw Vaidehi liting lamps along with Seetha, she looked angelic in that orange half saree. He kept staring her divine face. Suddenly a voice made him snap out of the trance. He tilted his head to it. Almost everyone jerked. It was none other than our Sakthi. "Hello guysssss welcome back to my youtube channel" he yelled holding the selfie stick. He was taking a vlog out of this. Arjun shook his head in disbelief. He thought of moving to Vaidehi but was stopped by Maalini who spotted him when she walked upstairs.
"Deii enga da pora ? Poi kulichit vaa"
"Perimma inga enna nadakuth.. Ethavath function aa??"
"Aama da innaikku athai oda porantha naal"
"Apdiya " he asked surprise.
"Aama seekram poi kulichit vaa... Puja kk time aayidichu "
Arjun looked up and saw Vaidehi looking at him. She winked at him suddenly making him gasp. She chuckled seeing his reaction and continued her work.
"Deii enda pei aranja maari nikkura.. Seekram ready aayi vaa...Thallu naan mela ponum "
He came out of the shock and moved upstairs blushing.
He quickly got refreshed and wore a white t shirt with cadmium green joggers. He styled his hair and jogged downstairs. He saw paati sitting in a chair with her back facing him. He ran to her and hugged her neck.
"Happy birthday paati " he said and kissed her cheek.
"Thanks da kanna" she said and kissed him back.
"Deii arjun vaada.. Athai vaanga " Sumathi yelled to the duo standing in front of the puja room. Everyone in the house sorrounded the puja room while their family priest along with the ladies conducted the puja.Arjun hopped to the puja room. He stood beside Santhosh who was holding tara in his hands. Vaidehi stood at the other side folding her hands and closing her eyes. A blush crept over his face seeing her. He heard whisperings beside him.
"Naan enna panne?? "
"Nee thaane antha blue saree ya olich vecha"
"Un saree aa olich vech enak enna di kedaikka poguth "
"Naan alaga irukka koodathu nu porama jingli unakk"
Arjun heard Santhosh and Shaalni bickering in low voices. He chuckled to it while Tara facepalmed.
All the ladies moved out to get prasadam for them. They all ate prasadam and settled in the dining hall. Geetha came out of the kitchen with a stainless steel vessel.
"Deii sakthi inga vaa " she yelled.
Sakthi and rakshan were checking the videos they took in Rakshan's DSLR camera.
"Enna chithi?" He asked.
"Intha da intha payasatha antha poonguzhali veetuk kuduthit vaa " she said
