Recap:- Deepa insulted Vaidehi. Pugazh revealed Arjun and Vaidehi's love to the whole family.
Pugazh turned to Arjun "inga paaru inime iva un poruppu.. Iva kanla irunthu oru sottu kanneer vanthuchu..." He warned and turned.
He moved out to leave but stopped hearing thaatha saying "Nillu"
Pugazh turned while thaatha moved to arjun. He stared him with a straight face. Vaidehi parted away from Arjun and stood there with her head hung down wiping her tears. Thaatha looked between them.
"Ivan sonnath unmaiya?" Thaatha asked in a cold voice.
Arjun shivered and gulped to his voice. He slowly nodded his head. Thaatha caught both of their wrist and made them stand before an amman statue which was on the right side of the hall.
Arjun caressed his wrist as thaatha's hold was tight. Everyone gulped seeing thaatha's red face.
"Lakshmi" he yelled making everyone jerk.
Paati walked forward and stood beside him with trembling hands. He whispered something in her ears. She slowly nodded and left shivering.
"Ipo sollunga.. Nee ivana virumbriya?" He asked Vaidehi who nodded.
"Vaaya thoranthu sollu" he yelled making her flinch.
"Aama thaatha" she said in a shaken voice.
"Nee?" He asked Arjun.
"Aama thaatha" he said boldly.
Lakshmi paati came with a box in her hands. Thaatha opened it and took out a fresh yellow thread with a gold traditional thali attached in it. Everybody's eyes widened and lips parted.
"Apdina itha ava kazhuthula kattu" he ordered forwarding the thread to Arjun.
Arjun immediately looked at sundarasamy who was shocked. He kept looking him who nodded in tears. He then looked at his dad who actioned him like 'go ahead'. Then his eyes landed on Vaidehi who blinked her eyes.
"Enna ley thayangura?" Thaatha asked.
Arjun got the thread from him and tied it around Vaidehi's neck locking his eyes with hers. Both of them had tears in theirs eyes. He tied the three knots and kissed her forehead.
Thaatha forwarded the kumkum and he applied it on her forehead. Vaidehi looked down at the nuptial thread that adorned her neck and smiled. Pugazh wiped his tears while all the others were trying to process the happenings.
Arjun held Vaidehi's hands and stood before thaatha. They knelt down and seeked his blessings. Thaatha and paati blessed them.
Thaatha turned to sundarasamy.
"Sundaram.. Un ponnu kalyanatha naan nadathitten.. Unak ethavuth ethirp irukka?"
"Unga mudiva marukka naan periya aal illa maama.. En ponnuku neenga nallathu thaan pannuvinga nu enak theriyum... "
"En peran romba nalla paiyyan sundaram.. Un ponna nalla pathupan.. Bayapadatha"
"Enak theriyum maama" he said and moved to Vaidehi.
"Ammadi... "
"Appa" she hugged him and cried.
He pulled back and wiped her tears.
"Azha koodathu ma.. Athaan nee aasa patta paiyan unak kedachurch illa.. Inime nee azha koodathu ma.. Maapilai unna nalla pathupan... Unakaga appa epovume iruppen.. Enna prechanala vanthalum nee veetuka vaa da.. Appa irukken seriya"
