Arjun and Rakshan parked the bike beside Vaidehi's house. They jumped the wall.
"Deii ithelam thevaiyada... Pesama veetla poi oru video call podu da " Rakshan whispered.
"Oru Vayasukk vantha ponnukk nadu rathri la video call panrathlam thappu da " Arjun whispered back.
"Appo nadurathri 11 manikk oru vayasukk vantha ponnu veetu sevaru eri kuthich ava room la poi paakrathu thappilayam.. Video call panna thappu apdithane?"
Arjun smiled sheepishly.
He climbed to the first floor and reached the balcony of Vaidehi's room. Rakshan stood in the sunshade checking the sorroundings.
Arjun peered inside and roamed his eyes around the room.But the sight he saw crushed his heart into pieces. Vaidehi was crying her heart out hugging her knees sitting in the corner of the bed. Arjun panicked. He could not see such a sight in front of his eyes. He banged the windows not very loud.
"Vaidehi vaidehi " he called. She jerked and looked up and saw Arjun calling her. She was shocked to see him there at that hour. She quickly wiped her tears and opened the balcony door.
"Enna panreenga inga " she asked.
He got inside the room and held her shoulders.
"Ennach en azhura??" He asked worried.
"Onula " she said not looking him.
"Vaidehi poi sollatha"
"Neenga inga enna panreenga intha nerathula? "
"Athu dha bha.. Naan en wallet.. Athu... Inga.." He stammered. She narrowed her eyebrows at him questioningly.
He left a heavy sigh and said "naan unna paaka thaan vanthen "
She was surprised.
"Sollu ennach en azhura " arjun asked.
She remained silent. Tears formed her eyes.
"Sollu maa" he whined.
She just laid her head on his chest and hugged him. He too hugged her back. She started crying hard snuggling into him.
"Maa sonna thane ma theriyum.. Sollu maa.. Ipdi azhaatha ennala paaka mudiyala" he said still hugging her.
She lifted her head from his chest and looked him with tear filled eyes.
"En dance school la... Oru.. Oru student irukka.. Ava innaik vere oru ponna bully panit iruntha.. (hiccup).. Naan antha ponna kooptu warn panni thitnen... Antha ponnu poyi avunga ammava kootit vantha... Antha akka enna romba mosama pesnanaga mama... " She cried hard and laid back to his chest. He hugged her tighter closing his eyes.
"Avunga enna romba thappu thappa pesnanga..enna ellar munnadiyum asinga paduthitanga.. En amma va pathiyum thappa pesnanga... En amma va naan paathath kooda illa maama.. 😭... En amma irunthiruntha enak intha nelama vanthurukathu mama...appa kitta sonna varuthapaduvaru... Epovum ipdi kashtama iruntha.. Naan ipdi than room kulla ukkanth azhuven... Appavukk theriyathu..." She said crying.
He took his hands from her shoulders and cupped her cheeks. He wiped her tears.
"Inga paaru yaaravuth ethavuth sonnathukaga ipdi azhatha maa.... Strong aa iru.. Unakk yarum illa nu nenaikatha... Unakku naan irukken... Puriyutha"
She nodded her head. He placed a long kiss on her forehead and hugged her. Rakshan who was waiting in the sunshade lost his patience and climbed to the balcony. He peered inside and saw Arjun and Vaidehi hugging. He closed his mouth with his palms.
'Ada paavi ivlo fast aa irukaane' he thought. 'Inga ninna saripattu varathu namma apdiye poiduvom' rakshan went back to the sunshade and sat there.
Arjun pulled back and dragged her to the bed. He sat on the bed and made her sit beside him. He wrapped his arms around her shoulders and made her lie on his chest.
"Vaidehi... Nee romba dairyamana ponnu.. Avunga pesnath lam unakk prechana illa un amma va pathi pesnath thaan unak kashtama irukku nu enak theriyum.... Aana athukunu inga ukanth azha koodathu... Avunga yaru unnayum unga ammavayum judge panrathukk... Avunga apdi pesna thiruppi naal podu potta pothum.. Nee thaan rowdy aache" Arjun said.
Vaidehi chuckled in tears.
"Sollu inime ipdi night ukanthu azhuviya?"
She nodded her head horizantally.
"Umm... Naan daily night intha maari vanthu check pannuven" he said.
She lifted her head and glared him.
He smiled sheepishly. "Chumma sonnen" he said.
"Neenga vanthalum parava illa " she said.
"Yen mela avlo nambikaya " he asked.
"llla neenga athukk ellam seri pattu varamattinga" she said
"Etheyy..." he widened his eyes.
She giggled. He pinched her cheeks "Kd" he said.
"Neenga mothalla en veetukk ulla irunth roomuk vaanga .. Ipdi sevaru eri kuthich varinga?" She said.
"Unna paathu 2 naal ache...paakanum pola irunthuch athaan vanthen" he said.
"Athuk pagal la varalam la.. Ipdi thirudan maari varinga?"
"Naalaik vidiyira varaikum wait panna mudiyala di " he said nudging her and hugging her closer.
She smiled at him. "Naalaik neenga inga varinga.. Inga thaan sapadu.. Purinjitha?" she ordered.
"Seringa rajamatha.. Unga kattalaye saasanam " he said and she beat his arms.
"Sari thoongu.." he said and kissed her temple.
She blushed and laid on his chest. After sometime he noticed that she was asleep. He lifted her and placed her on the bed without disturbing her sleep. He covered her with blanket and pulled the mosquito net down. He kissed her forehead.
"Good night pondati" he whispered and blushed.
He came out of the room and closed the balcony door. He searched for Rakshan and saw him sleeping soundly sitting in the balcony.
"Deii... Raksha" he tapped his shoulders. Rakshan jerked in his sleep.
"Deii ennada unna kaaval irukka sonna thoongura?" Arjun asked.
Rakshan checked the time it was almost 12:30.
"Etheyy 12:30 aa.. Dei ivlo neram enna da panit iruntha.. Deii enna da panna en thangachiya?" Rakshan asked.
"Deii nee konjam adakki vaasi.. ava azhuthit iruntha athaan samadhana paduthi thoonga vechen.. Un thangachiya naan onum pannala da saami " arjun said.
"Athane.. Nee than athu kellam sari pattu varamatiye "
'Enna ivanum ithaye solran' he thought.
"Aama thangam ethuk azhutha??"
"Atha veetla poit solren ipo keela erangu"
They climbed down and jumped the wall. They hoped on the bike and drove back to home.
