The migraines were already attacking my brain when I woke up in Ashton's bed and found him sleeping on the couch of the room.

Things got pretty bad last night. Why do I always remember everything about when I am drunk? Like, I'm always left with regret because I was conscious about what I was doing, I was just not able to control it.

"Oh shït!" Ashton scared the hell out of me."What the hell happened last night?"

"Let's go eat something, I'll tell you all I can remember."

And so we went on to have the typical breakfast at the hotel as I told Ashton about our karaoke match with the korean tourists, the mojitos and tequila combination that absolutely trashed us and how we were dancing in the rain, I think I might have caught a cold, though.

I wouldn't call last night a complete failure, I mean, it was the most fun I've had in a while. Ashton agreed with this and we spent the whole breakfast laughing about everything I was telling him.

Well, we were spending the whole breakfast laughing when Mrs. Brown made a scene in front of the whole guests who were peacefully eating.

"Where were you last night, Miss Peterson?" She asked, but not in her regular, demanding, voice, she was almost yelling. I didn't get why she was acting this way.

"What do you mean? I was at the hotel." I tried to explain, I didn't want to mess things up by leaving her with the assumption that me and Ashton slept together.

"No, you weren't. At least not on your room. Care to explain?" She was furious, I could tell.

"I went out and ended up arriving pretty late. I'm sorry, Mrs. Brown." I tried to explain.

"How lovely, I needed you and knocked on your door every hour, I'm going to give you one more chance to explain. Where were you?"

"You needed me? What happened?"

"That's... That's not important, Miss Peterson. Just tell me where the hell you were?" He voice broke on the first sentence but then it returned to the usual, harsh, self.

"I... I was..."

"She was in my room." Ashton interrupted. "But don't think we were doing anything, because, even though it's none of your business, we weren't."

"Oh... What was she doing in your room then?" She turned to him and then turned to me, "What were you doing in his room?"

"I was sleeping! And he was too. I don't get how you're making such a big deal out of this, we were drunk and ended up too tired and crashing in his room, we weren't even in the same bed!" I explained.

"I don't think I'm supposed to believe in that. How could you two be drunk out of your minds, go to the same hotel room and nothing happen. Do you think I'm foolish?!" She was so enraged, I was getting quite scared, to be honest.

"Well you are being foolish now, Joanne!" Ashton almost yelled, at this point we were already outside, arguing.

"Ashton, don't." She softly said, changing her attitude towards him.

"You know what? I'm tired of all this, I hope you stay in Italy fücking every hot restaurant owner that takes a slight interest in you. Don't even bother talking to me again. And, Oh! I almost forgot, I quit!" Ashton yelled and stormed off.
I followed him, I didn't want him to do anything he was going to regret later.

He got to his hotel room and locked the door, I didn't know if I should knock or not, but I decided it was better for me to so so.

"...Ash?" I knocked. "Are you okay, can I come in?"

He didn't reply, he only unlocked the door, not opening fully but I got in anyway.

He kept the curtains closed, I could only see the outline of his face because of the daylight that shined behind them.

"D-don't look at me." His voice was fragile, almost like he was breaking.

"Oh, Ashton." I hugged him.

"What have I done with my life? I'm screwed, I'm not going to ever find another job again." He was tearing up, I've never seen him like this before.

"Please, don't say that. I'm going to talk to my dad right now, I bet you'll fit right in garage."

"Thank you Lilian. Seriously, thank you. In this past few days you've done more to me than most of my friends ever did in my entire life." He looked into my eyes.

"It's nothing, really. You deserve it."

I can't describe how we were feeling, the only word that comes to my mind is comfortable, as odd as it sounds.

We were laying in his bed with the dim light, holding hands. It sounds romantic when I put it like this and, to be honest, maybe it was. But Ashton needed a friend and I... I was there.

"Lilian?" He softly spoke.

"Yeah...?"

"And this is how it starts." He said.

"What starts?"

"You take your shoes off in the back of my van."

What the hell is he saying?

"I'm so confused."

"My shirt looks so good, when it's just hanging off your back." He sung.

"Ahh, The 1975, I see." I finally understood what he was saying/singing.

"And she said use your hands and my spare time, we've got one thing in common it's this tongue of mine." We started to get closer and closer as he whispered the lyrics.

"She said, she's a boyfriend anyway." At this point we were so close our lips were almost touching and as they were starting to brush against each other Ashton stepped back.

"You've got a boyfriend anyway..."
