I looked down to see Calum's hand in my thigh but instead of flinching it away I put my own hand on top of his lacing our fingers which made him smile.
We didn't say anything when he dropped me off but he started leaning in like he was going to kiss me, which made me shake my head and turn my back to him.
"Goodbye, Calum."
"Sweet dreams, princess." He replied, and even with my back to him, I knew he was smirking.
Tomorrow is Saturday, which for some means rest and peace but to me means working in the garage. Not that I'm complaining, I love it.
When I got to the garage, I knew my dad would already be there so I made him a pot of coffee at home and bought it here. He thanked me, saying it was really what he needed, but of course I knew that already.
There was another person who wanted some coffee too, Calum.
"Hey." He greeted me, trying to find a mug.
"Hi." I blushed slightly. "Left cabinet, second drawer."
"Thanks, princess." Calum grinned while I poured the coffee in the mug.
My dad told me that a usual costumer had just called him saying their car broke down two hours away from here, so he had to get it, but he would leave the garage in my charge.
Thirty minutes after my father left, a convertible with three fake barbies, I mean, three girls, came him.
"Hello, how can I help you?" I asked.
"My car started to make a funny noise." The girl who was driving the car said.
"Could you describe that noise or could you tell me where you think it's coming from or how it started?"
"Do you not have anyone more experienced than you to take care of our car?" A girl in the backseat asked. God, they are starting to get on my nerves.
"I have been working with cars all my life, sweetie. Now could you describe the noise?"
"Can we like speak to that guy over there instead of you?" The first one spoke again, pointing at Calum.
"Fine." I huffed and walked to were Calum was.
"Look, this next costumers asked for a special request of you being their employee. Enjoy!" I gave him a fake smile.
"What? Why couldn't you do it, princess?" Calum, honestly felt shocked that he had to do it, he wasn't questioning my ability, he was just questioning why I couldn't handle the problem because I was more experienced than him.
"Supposedly, I'm not experienced enough so you'll have to do it. I'll work on whatever it is you're doing."
"I'll handle them." He smiled, understanding exactly what I meant.
Ten minutes later he came back saying it was fixed.
"You won't believe this but the noise they were hearing was actually just regular motor noise, they were just too dumb." He laughed.
"Wow." I chuckled.
"I know. They are lucky they were cute, not as cute as you though." He winked.
"Did you give them your number? Maybe they were dumb enough for you to trick them into your bed."
"I didn't, they just would have left a trail of make up on my bed sheets so no, thank you. Besides, I can think of a better person I would like to be on my bed." He wiggled his eyebrows at me.
"Why are you such a flirt all the time, Mr. Hood?"
"First of all: you need to keep calling me Mr. Hood because I like it. And second: I only flirt with pretty mechanics."
"So, I'm guessing you've flirted with Carl too?" I giggled, remembering the unpleasing sight that is our almost fifty year old mechanic.
"I was trying to be cute and you just had to ruin it, didn't you?"
"Sorry, Mr. Hood." I winked.
"You know how hot you are right now, princess?"
"Sure, the oil leaking from my jump suit is just so sexy." I laughed, rolling my eyes.
"I would kiss you if you didn't turn me down."
"Soon, Mr. Hood. Soon." I bit my lip.
