Saturday was, as it always is, my favorite day of the week. I get to work on what I love and to spend time with some amazing people. It's a busy day, but nothing we can't handle.
I didn't get to spend much time with Calum, seeing as we were working on different cars. But we planned on going out tonight.
Not knowing where we wanted to go, we settled for a night in.
"I loved going to the races last week." I said, while we were cuddling on my couch watching some random romantic comedy.
"Really?! Maybe it was because of 'Shadow'." He replied and my suspicion that he was jealous about Ashton was confirmed.
"You know that's not what I meant. You were the one who had the idea of me waving the flag and I loved that part, I could do it again every week." I explained.
"Is this your subtle way of asking me to go do it again today?" He raised an eyebrow at me.
"Only if you want it, of course. Plus, I bet Ashton is not even going to be there." I pressed a soft kiss on his lips.
"You look pretty hot doing it, princess, so we can go." He smirked. "But I don't want you getting involved in the racing world, it's more dangerous than it seems and involves more people than the racers."
"Fine, fine, just today." I got up and started going to my room, trying to find something to wear.
I found my black leather jacket and some matching leggings and decided on wearing it. I didn't usually wear them but it made me look like I belonged in the race.
I could hear Calum and my dad talking but, again, when they heard my footsteps, they stayed silent.
"Okay, now 'Shadow' can't be there." Calum looked at me, taking in my appearance, and my dad looked confused at the shadow part.
"Where are you guys going? I thought you were staying here tonight." My dad asked.
"I'm taking Lilian to a bar with me, don't worry, I won't let her out of my sight." Calum rushed answering.
"Oh, okay. Just bring her home safe." My dad smiled and kissed my forehead.
"I will." Calum placed one arm around my back and pulled me closer to him.
We got to the car and I didn't even have to say anything for Calum to start explaining.
"I know you wouldn't want me to lie to your dad but he knows how the races are and I bet he wouldn't want you there."
"It's okay, Cal. I just- I don't know... Just forget it." I shrugged, not knowing how to feel about doing something my dad wouldn't approve.
"It's fine if you don't want to go, princess. I can just turn around to Macca's or some-"
"What's a Macca's?" I interrupted.
"In Australia, Macdonald's is called Macca's." He laughed.
"Is your country for real?" I laughed harder than him.
"Shut up." Calum pouted.
"I still want to go to the races, though. We can go to Macca's later." I mocked him.
"Okay." He stuck his tongue out at me.
We got to the spot the last race was and since it was too early, there was almost no one there, or so I thought.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't our Aussie best friend! Oh and he brings company." A tall man, with an accent close to Calum's, said and Calum gave me a look that I knew meant 'run!'. Before I could even process anything, two older men held me against a brick wall, while the other one got closer. "And who would this be? Did you get tired of fucking my girlfriend?"
"Leave her alone!" Calum said, anger building up inside of him as he clenched his fists.
"But I didn't even have fun." The man whined and started leaning close to me.
Calum went to punch him but the two men from before were now holding him.
"Now, you are going to watch as I fuck your girlfriend." The man started to leave sloppy kissed on my neck and I struggled to get him to stop.
"Leave them alone!" Someone yelled.
"Who the fuck are you?" The men yelled back and Ashton stepped into the area where we could see his face.
Suddenly, the man let us go and ran away.
"We're going home." Calum said, grabbing my arm.
"W-what just happened?" I asked, confused as he lead me into the car.
"I never should have brought you here in the first place, I'm such a fuck up. Now they know who you are and who knows what they'd do if it wasn't for Ashton. I have to thank that dude or something." He ranted.
"Cal, calm down. Please." I begged as I watched his fury become less prominent.
"I will, I'm sorry. I'm just so scared. I know what they're capable of."
"Nothing will happen if we don't go back there. I promise, I'll never ask to go again."
"If only it was that easy." He mumbled. "Let's go to Macdonald's now, get some food and just forget this whole night happened."
"Okay. Macca's it is." I laughed, trying to lighten the mood.
"You're not funny." He pouted.
"Ughhhh, I'm just trying to get some shrimp on the barbie mate." I said, in the most awful Australian accent I could possibly use.
"That was... So bad." Calum laughed really hard.
"Shut up."
We pulled over to the drive through and ordered two double cheeseburgers, a coke and two Oreo Mcflurrys.
Calum drove to the hidden garden with the airport view and today it looked more magical than last time.
One thing I found out about Calum was that he always had a bunch of things in the back of the car, so he grabbed a blanket so we could sit.
"I'm sorry about tonight, princess. I just- I don't want them to hurt you and I was the one who brought you into this. I never should have lead you there in the first place. They are dangerous, princess. Really dangerous."
"Calum, I'm not afraid. I know how to protect myself and-" My voice cracked."I have you."
I'm so sorry this is shit but I rewrote this about 10 times and was never happy with the outcome so yeahh this happened. I have some ideas for the next chapter so I'll start writing it asap
Love ya, my minions <3 xx
