CAMILO'S "JUST A one-time-thing" turned into an everyday-thing and he was once again in the kitchen. Though after a few more mess ups during their baking or cooking sessions, he opted to just watch Eliana work. That way she would have a constant accompaniment while Camilo would get to eat the first batch and extras she would make without having to do any of the work and most likely embarrass himself in front of her again.
Watching her also allowed Camilo to see some funny or adorable things he wouldn't have thought he would see Eliana do. For example, that time Eliana made a batch of chocolate chip cookies, Natalia still wasn't satisfied with the candy she was given and tried to steal some of the dough. Eliana caught her though and gave her share of polvorosas instead.
Later on, he caught Eliana eating some of the dough too. He called her out and teased her about it, to which she replied with "I- I was just tasting it if it was good enough-!" Camilo chuckled at the memory.
There was another time when he saw her trying out a new magic trick and failed. She cursed a lot whenever she failed, forgetting someone else could hear her. He would even hear herself do some magician monologues as he observed how she would do some of her kitchen magic tricks.
He didn't mind her ramble to herself and forget he was there. In fact, he enjoyed watching her, finally seeing the hidden colors of her character. He even asked her to show him some magic tricks he could never seem to get tired of. The others teased him for always being with her and staring at her with "goo goo eyes" but he didn't mind them, still unaware of his own interest.
Speaking of magic...
"You know, the kids miss you and your magic tricks." Camilo placed his chin on one hand as he watched Eiana pause her cooking to consider what he said.
"Hmm.. maybe next time..." She paused as she started to scoop up the golden papas rellenas with the giant strainer Tía Julieta lent her.
Camilo watched as she piled some of them on a small plate and dabbed them with tissue paper to lessen the oil.
Eliana then slid the plate to him and smiled, "I'm a bit busy with cleaning Casita and making some snacks... especially for a certain someone so they won't finish Señora Julieta's food for the village people anymore."
Camilo paused mid-bite to look at her raising a brow at him, amusement glimmering in her eyes.
"I wonder who the 'certain someone' is." He shrugged, sliding the fried potato in his mouth and swallowing it whole.
Eliana rolled her eyes and went back to the pot to put more papas rellenas. "I wonder who too."
She peeked over her shoulder and struggled to stifle a giggle at seeing Camilo gobble the entire pile of food in a matter of seconds, burping loudly after.
"Sorry." He smiled boyishly, not sounding sorry at all.
