|| Chapter Twenty-One ||

He didn't know where her extent of knowledge about sexual matters finally reached their limits, and to be completely fair, he felt uncomfortable to talk to her about sexual assault.

To him, it felt like a woman should explain that kind of thing to another woman, especially after the Philly accident.

Truth be told, he didn't realize if she knew just how much danger she was in; what was on the line in this situation.

He knew that at every encounter since he met Delta-X-Ray-Delta, there had always been other females. It's never been just (Y/N) or (Y/N) with the opposite sex.

'If she knew that her body, her mind and her innocence was at stake, she'd probably panic.' 10K came to the conclusion in his head that she was just too naive for this.

"You obviously look like intelligent men with an eye towards progress in future generations." Sketchy made sure to stroke these southern eagles before they pinched the trigger to their weapons that pointed at their bodies.

The usage of big words was to make them feel smart, as if they all didn't already question the enemy's IQ individually.

The method also gave Sketchy and Skeezy time to plot against the enemies while they thought about the definition, at least in Sketchy's processing plan.

No matter how deadly 10K could be with any weapon in his hands, he could only do so much with a long-range weapon behind him, two blades in his pockets, a chain in his pants, and a pistol stuck behind his shirt.

He could do enough damage to escape, but that would be putting (Y/N) on the line.

"What if I told you, today's your lucky day?"

"Oh, I would agree. Ain't that right, Dale?" The second-in-command's malicious grin was sick with dirty thoughts running through his veins like an addictive drug.

Just the singular look on his face, and every man in site knew what he thought of women still alive in the apocalypse. At just the look, it made Skeezy give up on the world further.

'She's a kid. Why would you go after the kids?' Skeezy thought sickly of the right-hand man.

"Oh, you right about that." Dale agreed with his companion immediately, balancing his weight on either heel to fix his advantage on the weapon.

10K was already adjusting plans to quickly escape the situation with (Y/N) high-tailing it behind him once he noticed the pistol stuck in Sketchy's pants. Once he caught the man tapping it twice after he was allowed to lower his hands, that's when he knew Sketchy and him were thinking alike.

'Allowing' was actually saying Sketchy lowered his hands by choice and when none of them refused the action, he knew it was safe to say he had their attentions where he needed it to be.

"You're both right! 'Cause it ain't every day you come in contact with a modern miracle."

This caught their attention, away from the woman, like a little girl who's toys had always been fairies until her family bought a Barbie themed doll.

He made sure to keep them on their toes with every cliffhanger like a good salesman, wanting to truly grasp his audience.

"Your maker's been smiling on you, because today, I offer you the most rare and precious of currencies: everlasting life." He figured they believed in something, so it might as well be the common core belief before the apocalypse.
